Capcom has released the first screenhots for Resident Evil Revival Selection. The collection will combine Resident Evil 4 with Resident Evil Code : Veronica X, remastered in high-definition. The official website has just opened up. The game will be released as downloadable titles for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Scheduled for release this fall.

Wow, they're so biding their time until they release the next Resident Evil. I guess the backlash even with the great sales, made Capcom reconsider.

meh. by far my 2 least fave RESI titles next to RESI 5. would have been onboard if it was RE-make and RE-zero.

doesnt everyone already own this game on one platform or other, it's been released on pretty much all of them.

The pc version is a sloppy port from the ps2, meaning it actually looks better on ps2 than on pc. But if you have a decent gaming pc you can easily emulate the wii or ngc version in HD and that's probably what we're gonna get here.

i liked resident evil before it went all Los Muertos or watever they are called. gameplay was definitely fun though, but the story/setting of the games hasn't been as strong as it was before.

Well, I finished both games just once and I quite agreed with your "enough is enough" politics. Couldn't find replay value in it for myself. Trophies will add some replay value for me but not really.

Resi 4 looks like a port of the ps2 version, just look at the 2nd pic the head of the 1st ganado in the HD part, the GC version has better models

Its funny how in hollywood we give em shit for being uncreative and remakng everything. But in videogame industry WE THE FANS are clamoring for remake nostalgia and SEQUELS because we dont want creative new stuff in the mainstream space. Vote with your wallet!

Makes perfect sense to me, and the comparison to hollywood doesn't hold up at all unless you're comfortable suggesting games and movies are constructed from the same elements. Mechanics are improved on by iteration. There's no point in diverging from an intellectual property if that's a low risk entry point for a better product. Unless of course your main concern is a new set of characters and premise, but those are just a different hat.

If you're in it for the game, that's pretty much what you're looking for, same hat or not.

stupid remakes , i have an idea how about remaking the resident evil 2 or 3 beside that disgusting shooter in WII .

since when does creative new stuff automatically make something better? a new IP with original gameplay mechanics could be worse then a sequel to a game that's awesome. i personally play GREAT games, whether they're new IP's or not doesnt factor in at all.
