BTW, the water effects in this game is just phenomenal.

The graphics aren't too hot, imo. The lighting is rather poor. Everything lacks detail.

^^ you guys are just full of it. obviously the game doesn't have uncharted's level of texture detail, but it's still very impressive visually, especially considering the scale of the game. i find the water to be the best fluid simulation in a videogame, but it could still do with a bit of refining. the game is very ambitious in terms of scale and content, and they more than pulled it off.

Game look great. Still waiting for it. Just got to get past the weekend now. :-p

its not...devs have demonstrated as such...honestly, many people who post in these threads seem to have no interest in these games...and never had the intention of buying it in anyway. They comment only with the intention of posting something negative

Guys, people are allowed to criticise. And it would appear their criticisms are valid in places. The game overall is rather pretty, but there are some low textures and the graphics are bland in places as well.

So yeah, it's not perfect. But what game is?

A game is more than just graphics anyway. The game looks rather dull to me in terms of gameplay - there's nothing there that makes me excited enough to want to play it.

The boss battles do look awesome though.

To be honest anyone with reasonable critical analysis can notice the difference between open-minded, valid critique...and a desire to criticise to justify an aversion or a fan agenda... Very much of the latter goes on here, though that is no fault of those who run this excellent site

But their criticisms do hold logic, although their intentions perhaps do not.

oh lord, posting something like "Looks bad and the beta was bad" is nothing but just mindless bashing, nothing logical in there. and by making stupid statements like that makes their intentions pretty obvious.

Anyway, this isn't worth it. Resistance 2 has its good points and bad points - like all games, funnily enough. ;)

Thanks for the first few videos, but stop giving me more. I don't want to ruin the first level by watching it from a video. The game has definitely improved on the graphical/art style department. More contrast and color make it better and the sounds in the videos have a certain level of Oomph in them.

They've captured the 50's feel to the scenery with the textures. It's kind of difficult to notice that, as the game feels like a regular era FPS with the guns and machines development. When you do, you start to understand the art style better. Damn it's annoying to wait for this in EU...

i only watched the 3rd video.

graphics are pretty impressive.

the AI however is a different story. the AI looks pretty bad. the enemies just kept running straight at the player shooting at him and stayed right out in the open as if they were taking no damage. seemed all of the battles were that way.

okay just watched vid 4...couldnt resist...damn, it looks great.
