If it does, i will just buy the drum kit or something then.
WTF?!?!?!?
What a jip! >:(
As, the GH3 controllers do NOT work with this game.
Does anybody have seen the pricing for europe? The complete instrument pack is only available without the game and cost EUR 170! The game self costs additional EUR 70 and so you have to spend around EUR 240!!! to enjoy the complete package of Rock Band! Thats around 380 USD!!! Sorry EA, but this pricing model for europe is just a joke!
Most likley on 360 first to see how the prices are recieved in Europe.
As, the GH3 controllers do NOT work with this game.
It cost about 200 Dollars, including game, mic, 1 guitar and the drumkit. As the PS3 version is codefree, there is no problem using the US version.
Everyone could buy the exactly same version of Rockband here in Switzerland since it was out in US as an import. But this imported version costs 400 US dollars due to the high importing and custom (tax) prices!
So yeah, the "official" pricing from above with 380 USD is near the 400 USD you could pay for the imported PS3 version.
That's why i think the pricing model from above is not too far off from what it will be in May.
And the Rockband guitar has additional "solo"-buttons and will work for GH3. But the GH3 guitar will not work on Rockband.
best regards,
ScarJack

half a year later and almost twice the USA price. Fuck them!
Guitars from Guitar Hero 3 DO WORK with Rock band. The only differences are those "solo" buttons...
Anyway, my friend couldn't test his GH3 guitar on RB, 'cause it's a Xbox360 version, whereas he imported RB for the PS3.
"but only on Xbox 360."

Good work EA, i was looking forward to it but now you can go piss of.
GBP 180/ EUR 240 for the set. Yes, that's more than twice the US price. They're paying GBP 85 or EUR 107.
Being released more than what, 6 months later? Fuck them. If they dont want my money, they wont get it either..
There is NO reason what so ever they didnt do a worldwide release like Guitar Hero 3 did, except for the strong Euro. Well fuck those greedy fucks at EA then.
As i said, if they didnt want my money, fine, they aint getting it. I was really looking forward to Rockband, until i saw that it had absolutely no release date what so ever here in Europe, so i just went with GH3 and im glad i did. Nothing wrong with that game what so ever.
This just makes me so angry. They think they can treat customers however they want. Well forget it, at least 1 customer lost mr. EA.
EA did't want to release the game because of the high price (euro strength) and all fans were disapointed about that, now that EA is trying to release the game in europe everone is getting angry.
this is an outrage! I guess I have to import the US Version - does it run on a PAL 360?
paying double the price sure makes people angry - what's not 2 understand? (if you're not working for EA that is ...)
But the thing with importing is, if a peripheral breaks (which happens often I hear), they can't replace it hence why not many people are importing.
But I might just do that, it'll be cheaper and looks like the wait for PS3 fans are loooooooooong.
