The Romans are in San Diego too as Microsoft has released new "cinematic" screens of Ryse: Sons of Rome. The exclusive Xbox One title from Crytek is coming in November.

i want to play this just to see the locations and set pieces but i wont commit to buying it day one until i hear about longevity. heard there was MP in this game, that might be interesting

This is the kind of resolution texture we can expect out of machines with 4+ GB of RAM that could be used for textures alone?

Gladiator battles. Pretty sure Crytek will mess up everything.

Talking about gladiator battles, i really want a Shadow of Rome sequel. Man, first one was brutal!

I don't care how good looking this game is, it just doesn't look fun to play at all from what I've seen so far. Just looks slow and bland. Ugh. But I never really liked god of war either so maybe not my cup of tea...

Aside from the last shot, the rest looks great and has some charisma on it. I really liked to watch this - makes me think about GOW. I cannot wait to see how God Of War will look like on the next gen. Have a nice day, fellow gamers.

Am I the only one not mind-blown by the graphics? Seriously, the first screens I saw were good but this is not necessarilly at the same level let alone mind-blowing.

Graphics are incredible probably the best looking title on nxt-gen, Gotta a feeling the game is going to be shit though!

I remember when PCs started getting CD-Roms so we saw all these "interactive movie" type games come out with almost TV show video quality, they looked amazing but were incredibly boring to play, this seems the same.

I just think this game represents exactly the kind of thing i didn't want to see on next gen hardware. It looks pretty enough, but the gameplay looks very boring and uninspired. I was really hoping that the new hardware would have developers try to do new things in terms of gameplay. So sure, it's not like this represents the entire next generation of console gaming, but still. Where's teh Sea Man kind of shit? I want a talking Leonard Nimoy fish-man for fucks sake, not the mot bland and QTE-infested hack-em-up i've ever seen :P

visually i think it looks pretty darn good in parts, cinematic at least. Gameplay looked very poor though. This was the least impressive next gen game shown for me after COD Ghosts.
