EA's TGS conference took place this morning and Shadows of the Damned, the new game by Suda51 (executive director), Shinji Mikami (creative director) and Akira Yamaoka (composer), was announced as a "Psychological Action Thriller", a title that clearly reminds of a certain game by Remedy. With such a team behind the project, there is some definite potential, even though what has been shown so far may be a bit disappointing to some design-wise.
@Melmoth: Just read up on it. Itls developped by a member of Crytek while still working for Crytek and is based of the CryEngine, but it is proprietary to Ubisoft. How that works in terms of royalties (2 Hours ago)

I mean they can keep upgrading it but why bother when they have more capable engines already. (15 Hours ago)
I just think it shows its age in a lot of ways in FC5 and they have better tech so they should use it. (15 Hours ago)
if they still pay royalties to crytech when using it they probably should (15 Hours ago)
Although I think it's kinda time to retire Dunia. (15 Hours ago)
@HR2: a lot of studios used modified UE3, games like Arkham Knight, XCom2, both being very problematic on pc. Interesting to see what those studios will do for their next games. (15 Hours ago)
