Shinji Mikami's studio Tango Gameworks has unveiled the codename of their project: Zwei. Resident Evil creator goes back to the survival horror genre with this game in development. Along with the codename, a piece of art showing environments has been released but it's not intended to give any hints at what is in the game. Bethesda Softworks will publish the game but no date, no platforms announced yet.
Bethesda Softworks is pleased to announce that Tango Gameworks and director Shinji Mikami are working on a ‘survival horror’ game under the codename ‘Zwei’.
As a master of the ‘survival horror’ genre, Shinji Mikami is committed to making a game that is the realization of *pure* survival horror, an experience which he defines as one that pushes the limits of fear and exhilaration. He and his team at Tango are committed to attaining this vision.
“A true ‘survival horror’ game is one in which the player confronts and overcomes fear,” says Shinji Mikami, president and creative director for Tango Gameworks. “I've found my focus and once again I'm striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on in the development of this game to ensure that the quality is there. Rest assured.”
Unless it includes Kojima Productions, the engine and what not. (1 Hour ago)
@alimokrane: Most of those things sound plausible, if SH is truly their franchise now, it would make sense for MS to have Konami pull the demo off PSN, but that amount of money...not plausible. (1 Hour ago)
They said they were still working on it. Sounded like it would be for June, But just now i saw that MS sent me a code for it. Oh yes! (1 Hour ago)
What a nice surprise. Recently the Halo 3 ODST remaster release date was on the Xbox site. 343 then said this was just placeholder, release was for may 29. (1 Hour ago)
If MS indeed buys the IP and gets the original creators on board then it's worth being news. So far, its rumour and speculation...and frankly, I think it's bogus. (4 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: Will Kojima, DelTorro still be involved? that's the bigger question! (4 Hours ago)
Silent Hills could still be a thing? [url] (11 Hours ago)
