Site maintenance this week-end

Site maintenance this week-end

The site will be moved to a new server this week-end, most likely tonight, and should be down for about 30 minutes. The new server costs about 50% the price of the old one with barely a difference in performance. This will allow us to use the money to get more download and streaming servers.
Update: The migration is done and seems to have worked well. Let me know if something strange is happening for you. The main and "rescue" mirrors will be down until I'm satisfied with the new download process I'm working on.

Out of interest Blim. How much roughly is a server?

The old one was 400 euros per month with 2*50 mbits of bandwidth (2 separate network cards). It was a very high end server, dual xeon, raid 1 with scsi drives, you name it.
The new one will be 210 euros per month with 100 mbits of bandwidth. It's a medium range server, Pentium D dual core 3.0 Ghz with hardware sata raid 1.

The new server is ready, the migration should happen sometimes tonight as expected. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, and then I'll update the DNS servers.

Regardless, I'm experiencing a great boost in speed.
Everything is much smoother!
