Agreed. Skate is probably my favorite sports game of this gen (along with MLB09 the Show), but Skate 2 felt VERY familiar, and now a third game within 3 years? C'mon, they aren't even updating the graphics at all. It looks identical to Skate 1, and their only new addition is "teams"? When has skating been about team vs. team? I think they should push it back a year and work on things like graphics/physics.

If not even the true fans of the franchise want it, you know that the company tries to milk it. Bad move, EA.

I skipped out on Skate2 because I figured 3 would be close behind it.

But I might have to skip 3 and wait for 4. Basically I'll just wait until I can see that they've made substantial improvements to the game.

After watching that First Look video I can say without hesitation this is shaping up to be pretty horrible. I liked the first because of it's attention to realism, but the second and now the third are turning into a Tony Hawk game, which really disappoints me. I doubt I'll even play this.

Does this mean we're going to get as many Skate games as THPS? Is EA just going to start releasing a sequel every year to their games they way they've done with their damned sports games for so long?

Skate 2 was dreadful. It's like Skate mixed with freakin' Spyro or something, what's with all the phone calls and blocked off areas? We don't want to play an RPG, we just want to skate goddamnit. Make the skating itself good enough and you don't need all the shitty gimmicks.
