You'll have plenty of time to upgrade.

@Wheat_Thins: No thanks...

I just so look forward to strolling around in the forests meeting wildlife and enjoying the views. :D

Do you guys think a NVidia Geforce 9600GT will cope with this?

Looks just like Scotland, minus the orcs, and walking skeletons. Dragons look the same though :)

Please make the combat and character creation great!
I saw some nice human character faces in the trailer, maybe they will give us something similair to Fallout 3 with a wide variety of hair and beardstyles :)

looks really dated, but i'm sure it'll be awesome to play, and that's all i really expect with bethesda games.

Graphically its not groundbreaking, but it still looks absolutely great. You gotta remember the size of this game, and all the speech, music, quests etc that goes in. Graphics cant take priority on a game like this.

i know, that's why i never expect it from bethesda games, they make up for it in other areas.

Looks phenomenal for a console game, but I wish it had been built for the PC then fit onto consoles instead of the other way around. It isn't going to hold up against Witcher 2 visually.

Doesn't look like huge upgrade in gfx. Not sure though why they took so long for this game

FF games looks much better than this. but I like the locations of this game.

Final Fantasy games (which I take you are meaning when you shorten it to FF, hope I'm not guessing wrong) can afford to look better because they come on 3 dvd's and take you on an epic linear path.

With regards to the actual roleplaying you get to do in FF games of late they are more akin to interactive storytelling than roleplaying.

Seph the ammount disks has nothing to with it, its to do with the fact that yes you can only see as far as the walls next to you but mainly.. the biggest thing is

there is fuck all AI fuck all in terms of a combat system that requires speed.. FF games only have to worry about visuals and nothing else, ES among many other games have to take many other things in to consideration.

@ManThatYouFear

I suppose what fit on FFXIIIs 3 DVDs would have probably fit on one blueray. So yeah a bit of a non-issue, having more space helps though.

As for what it had, all it had was pretty visuals and AI, not good AI, but AI.
They used it as a substitute for player party control and added frustrating and restrictive ways of managing your party of which the only bit I liked was the Crystarium Point System for its similarities to the Sphere Grid System.

Its like they don't want you to control your party and customise them, they just want to tell the story in which case they chould just remake Final Fantasy: Spirits Within and make other CG films.

It looks fine.

considering it's Bethesda it looks great tbh. By far the best looking game they ever made, and it's not thanks to some superior graphics engine or tech thing, it's just more competent artists.

maybe the 50+ hours of gameplay you can probably expect from it?

I think you're remembering Oblivion with rose tinted glasses.

I just hope the framerates solid, and the bugs dont kill it before its had a chance to really show just how much work has gone into the game

JRPG's are always linear.. which is why they seem so dated these days. But the only reason why FF13 took more than one dvd was because it told its story through CG cutscenes - which takes up alot of room. I would imagine this game will fit on one disc as Bethesda arent really known for cutscenes

Not doubting that =) They aren't known for serial disc swapping.

While all JRPGs are linear some are more than others. For example FFXIII is much more linear than say Lost Odyssey.

I will probably get it for my PC but I hope the game will not look so dated on it.

    KORNdog @Moonwalker: new IP's don't mean much if they're not appealing. they had their hands on a cool new IP that looked awesome, and people really wanted and nothing came of it (8 minutes ago)

    Moonwalker But millions? Like a new mainline Halo game? Nah I don't see that happening to be honest. (12 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
    Moonwalker I mean I am not a big fan if Division and Destiny but they do have more than just one objective. But I am sure SoT will too at release (15 minutes ago)
  • Moonwalker
    Moonwalker It's going to depend on marketing I think and if Rare releases a full game, meaning several different quests, enough reasons to explore these islands. I think their E3 showing is going to be important (17 minutes ago)
