Errr, it's a PSN game..........I think it looks great, I hope they capture the SOCOM feel right (since it's different devs, main SOCOM devs are developing the Blu-Ray version of the game).

Note to site owners: Maybe you can note if the games are PSN and stuff?

It's a shame XBox Live Arcade can't pump out games with graphics like this, let alone such good multiplayer options.

Well xbox live arcade is for arcade type games. Sony seem to be going a different route. My personal opinion is that I prefer live arcade. I would rather play N+ or Ikaruga then play a full game for its online and visuals. Sony seem to be doing budget games for its service that cant quite match the visuals of retail games.

This game's up on Amazon for $60, so I'm not sure where this is coming from, unless you mean it's a PSN game in the sense that Warhawk is a PSN game.

Well if it isnt a budget game then the developers should be ashamed. Because those screens look horrible.

Warhawk is a PSN/Blu-Ray title and it looks much better than this game, and Warhawk seems to be much more fun, chaotic and much bigger in scale of the battlefield.

I was under the impression this was a $20 PSN game, if it's a full price game then err......Yeah agreed with everyone.

But I'm pretty sure it's a budget PSN title.

Don't forget Warhawk was planned and developed as a triple-A budget title before they decided the singleplayer wasn't working and dumped it in favour of the online only play.

This SOCOM game was a low budget, low cost online only title from the start. Still pretty ugly though.

The developers themselves say it's a PSN game. Taking Amazon of all places to be any kind of authority on this is silly, nevermind the fact Amazon is probably listing the retail blu-ray Socom game which is being made for PS3. This is the PSN Socom game, the Blu Ray Socom game (which is a different game to the one show in these screenshots) has no media released yet.

But I thought SOCOM was a big online hit for PS2 gamers, so I figured Sony would invest alot of money for this title for its fans.

Unless this is not the TRUE SOCOM.

But I hope the fans enjoy the game regardless :) (me not included)

Looks awfull imo, and I'm not necessarily talking about the graphics. It all just looks so awkward and...I don't know...lame.

Its pretty much a stop-gap game to please fans until they get the true sequel out. Still, it looks damn ugly.

looks like cod4...decent overall but shit as hell texture wise.

gameplay looks great tho, and to clear things up, they're aiming for a price around the same as what warhawk was/is. so it IS a budget release. and rumours are that a true sequel is also in the works.

Looks pretty ugly, and those character designs are laughable at best. Damn.Whoops. Someone misspoke. What you meant to say was, COD4 has amazingly beautiful texture work, just saved-out at a lower resolution up-close to save on performance.

This turd has, not only low-rez materials, but poor art style all around. Big difference from COD4. COD4 looks fantastic. This, not so much. But that was a nice attempt at shuffling PS3's graphical limitations onto Infinity Ward.
