We already more or less knew that Sega was going to republish some old Dreamcast games on PSN and XBLA, but now it's official. Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi will be the first ones, screens inside.
If it's priced at 800 MSP or less i'll totally get Crazy Taxi, sonic though? Hell no, i have nothing but bad memories of that little blue fucker after his 3d-debut. I bought the damn DC at the release with Sonic Adventure and was just so disappointed. i played it for hours upon hours hoping that it'd start getting good but sadly that never happened :P
:( Wish it was Sonic Adventure 2, my favourite game of all time. (Mass Effect 2 comes a close second).
I like SA's 'hub world' system though.
Honestly, i don't mean to be rude now but are you freaking bonkers? What part of Sonic Adventure 2 was good? The entire game was freaking terrible in every way. The only way i can think of justifying liking of that utter turd is if maybe you were very young when you first played it and thus not as picky (kind of how i have a soft spot for the first turtles game on the NES, because i played it when i was 5 or 6 years old and it was turtles and thus awesome). It just now strikes me why people are so infatuated wit Mario 64 :P
i own all the must haves for dreamcast so this whole "classic dreamcast games on XBL/PSN" is kinda wasted on me. although if they put up something rare like seaman on there....i'd probably bite. can't resist some leonard nimoy narrated, man-fish action...lol
I am very happy, that Sega is republishing Dreamcast games. I am interested, although I have these two and many others for Dreamcast already. Crazy Taxi seems to have widescreen screenshots, but why not Sonic Adventure?
For me, Sonic Adventure 2 was a step backward. Original Sonic Adventure has six separate, but interlinking, beautiful storylines. And you can look around with directional pad. I really was not happy when I found out that d-pad functionality was removed in sequel. Small thing, but for me, important.

Now, imagine Seaman with decent voice recognition and the ability to manipulate the environment using hand movements: Natal's killer app right there! :o)

If they can sort out the draw distances, upscale them properly, add 4xMSAA and lock the frame rates on these titles, then wow, this would be a fantastic age for gaming. Dreamcast really was ahead of the game on so many levels - Online gaming on consoles, unique peripheral-driven games (Samba de Amigo, Sega Bass Fishing), memory sticks that could play games (VM units), arcade-perfect ports, amazing reliability, so much to offer.
Just a shame SEGA didn't realise this when marketing (or not) the damned thing. Fucking retards.
