I'm not sure I understand what has happened to Sonic, or Sonic Team in general. On one hand we have really poor looking titles like this and Shadow getting pumped out--but on the other, there's stuff like Phantasy Star Universe and Sonic Rush too (or is Sonic Rush a DIMPS game?). Just an odd mix of quality.

PSU looks amazing.

Sonic died on the Saturn, stop trying to revive him.

It looks awesome. It has that sense of floaty goodness that Trickstyle had, but my concern is; how skill based is it? How much room is there for actually getting better at it? If Amusement Vision handled this (F-Zero GX, Daytona, Super Monkey Ball) I wouldn't worry for a second, but as it is Sonic Team I've yet to be fully convinced that it's worthwhile even if it's a good game. Not that Sonic Team doesn't make good games, but if it caters for kids (and it could, what with Shadow sort of going in the opposite direction) it may not be as dynamic as something like F-Zero.

Battallion Wars suffered from that. Great game, great premise, excellent art style and presentation, but just way too easy for a seasoned gamer.

I like it, and don't understand why people are having a problem with it.

Seems innovative, but still very much "Sonic".
Sonic racing games are a no-brainer, IMO, as he's all about speed.

sonic died on the dreamcast if anything ;) sonic's not dead, just taking a long sleep haha. anyway, this game is reminiscent of trickstyle. hope it's cool

He still has a strong fanbase, you know. And frankly, his fanbase doesn't care about what other hardcore or casual gamers say. As long as he's popular, Sonic will live. Accept that fact.

It's like saying Mickey Mouse died a long time ago. Yet he still lives today...

I would give this a chance way before I give Shadow The Hedgehog a thought of a chance.
