Apparantly, the only way to unlock Vader/Yoda in the opposite versions is to actually have a save file from the Force Unleashed.

That would be pretty easy to do with the PS3 version then without buying Force Unleashed as you could just download a save game from GameFAQs.com and use that to unlock Yoda (if that's how it works). Obviously that's not possible with the 360 version due to the console's closed security-tight architecture.

Force Unleashed is a good game anyway and so I'm going to buay both games anyway, I think...

But I think they should have added more to the character editor. It's still the same editor that the third game had. I would wish features like bodysize or fatness (Maybe also boob-size x33")

You can change the the physics of a character, yes. Not make them obese or anything. And you can give them bigger tits if you're really into that. Not sure if it's Ivy-big though, but not far from it, I believe.

Yup. You've got people defending him around the globe too, for no good reason. A broke ass marketing character that you can't ban from an MP room. Perfect (I'm still buying it).

Or hit with any high attacks, most mid attacks, fast, extremely powerful, do multiple attacks just by jumping, don't even have to jump to get into the air(in certain combos), etc. Yoda is going to be banned from every single tournament.

That shouldn't even have been a consideration, he's a walking advertisement. I'm not sure how anyone could have expecting him to fit right in. I don't think people were using Spawn or Link in competition either. If there's no "pure" mode online, in which I can avoid these lame ass guests and broken custom characters, I see myself playing offline quite a bit more.

I'm waiting to hear about Vadar since I'm getting the PS3 version. Apparently there is a "special" vs. mode online for customized characters, but no word on the guests ones.

Oh dear! how ridiculous is that. not only did they ruin the game by including star wars characters, the made them ridiculusly powerful .... I can hear cries coming from online play!

Saying Yoda is cheap simply because he's short is like banning Gon in Tekken 3. You can't be serious. All the good players are saying that Yoda is extremely unsafe, even his basic BB is punishable. He's also easily sidestepped because he jumps up all the time.

Gon was trash in Tekken 3 btw... jesus christ. Just because a character is different doesn't mean they're automatically broken.

when moves that work on everyone else (throws) dont work on another (yoda). that sounds pretty broken to me.

The PS3 file is locked, as is the save file for Force Unleashed, meaning you CAN'T do that, which is were the rumour of this happening came from. There's little reason they'd do this, unless there was some kind of locked content that involved the save files. (Like with the MGS4 database)

The final character on the select screen, is for someone who isn't obtainable in the game, not even the strategy guide mentions a way to unlock it, so it clearly just isn't possible at the moment. It's also inbetween the other two SW characters, in the bonus character row, which implies that it's another Star Wars character.. And finally, many of the trailers for the game have shown Vader fighting Yoda.

So no, it's not exactly confirmed yet, but it's pretty clear that the last slot is for Vader on the 360, or Yoda for the PS3. They could just be downloadable, but the save file theory seems more likely, in my opinion.
