...still...I need a Spies vs Mercs fix badly, so looks like I'm stuck with this and the potential disappointment it will cause.

it's been such a long time, but could spies even kill the mercs as quick as they do in this trailer. didn't they have to chock them out? now it looks like you can run by and stab 'em in the neck in a matter of seconds.

That part did scare me a bit with the whole 'run and knife in the face' thing. They couldn't do that in the earlier games, but it's kind of no different than running quickly behind the Merc and cracking their neck I suppose...
But yes, in my opinion, Spies SHOULD have a hard time taking out the Mercs. To me, I think it's fun to evade and hide, not run up and kill, unless it's a joke match.
