After months of silence it looks like Ubisoft will finally start the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction hype machine again. Nothing much to see in this teaser, but at least Michael Ironside is back!

michael ironside is the best, i was really starting to lose hope when they announced that he wont be the voice for sam but now that he is back... thats totally awesome. must buy on 1st day

This game has been "on the missing" for so long I though I read somewhere it had a dramatic rethink and redesign...too bad this trailer shows absolutely jack shit.

Yeah, got to be where Sam went to retire. Can't imagine he'll stay there for too long though if there is a conspiracy against him.

This side of Sam was the one I've always wanted to play.
After it went MIA i began to lose hope but now it's back and as people have said Ironside is the man!...The Fish!...er....stuff....

I'm guessing they're going to be releasing little snippets of video over the next few days/weeks/months until it all works together in a seamless thing? Either way, I've loved every Splinter Cell game so far (esp. Double Agent) -- absolutely CANNOT wait for this!

Double Agent was great

The last-gen version (XBOX/PS2) was even better. Completely different game than the one developed on 360/PS3, by the same team that brought us Chaos Theory. And is not only way better than the 360/PS3 version of it's namesake, but is quite possibly the best game in the entire Splinter Cell series to date.

If by chance you have not played it, I highly recommend that you do before Conviction comes out this fall. Conviction, also being developed by the same team that did Chaos Theory, is likely to pick up most of it's cues from their version of Double Agent and not the one produced for 360/PS3.

Yeah, it's probably one of those trailers - you know the one's where they show you a bit of it as a teaser, and then a few weeks later the finally show you the whole thing. I really hate when they do that. It's kind of lazy marketing. But then, had I a choice, I'd much rather developers/publishers spend more resources on actually making games good, than on making tons of marketing. So . . . I guess I cannot complain too much about the lazy marketing.

The concept was quite interesting when it first came out. But since the silence my doubts went skyhigh. This trailer shows nothing. So it's still a waiting period for me. I hope to see more during E3.

Well if the last official demo of Conviction is anything to go by, Malta could be where the NSA finally catches up to Sam Fisher. However, the action could just as well take place at high noon on a sunny day in July, as well as the witching hour on an overcast night in the dead of winter . . . and any time of day in between.
