Star Trek Legacy images

Star Trek Legacy images

Bethesda recently launched the official website for Star Trek Legacy, and these images from the X360 version was put online. They might be a little bit old, but I guess it's good to have them in the database anyway. The game will be released in September.

THAT's Bethesda? Well they're probably early shots, because it looks really amateur-ish...

Star Trek? STAR TREK?
When JJ Abrams revealed he was going to do the next Star Trek movie, I was sold. I've watched like 5 episodes, but now I'm gonna be a true trekkie.

At least I like the Jean Luc Picard-song, and isn't that a great start?

They need to up the textures so it looks better, now it looks flat and last-gen.

Yea please throw on some normal mapping so it looks all plastic.

Self shadows wouldnt hurt, even hard shadows (or considering the scale, prefer hard shadows). Though that needs alot more than shadows to save it. Space, after all, is filled with deep black shadows especially near stars. Those shots are more like an acid trip than real space.

Yes, those graphics suck, and considering it's such an empty space, they should be able to up the detail a whole lot more.

Screens look good, but they do need some kinda shadowing though.

I liked it as well, so I must be one of the few. I think the problem was that they kept putting it in really crappy timeslots.

same here. it was a good show, and i missed several seasons cuz of school, but right as i was getting back into it the show was cancelled :P

anyway, this game is looking sharp! could be prettier, but it's solid. how on earth will it play, though?

There was something about going back and adding stuff in that was never mentioned before, or even hinted at, though that's the problem with prequels. They inherently suck and must rise above it, at least, that's the way I see it. The Star Wars Prequels and Enterpirse are good examples of things that did not rise over the inherent prequel suck.

Anyhow, I really like the look of this game. I liked Armada 1 and 2, it's being made by the same guys so hopfully it'll be good.

yeah the only thing i really didn't like was the time traveling "storyline" that was kinda over the top...

pretty cool. rock on!

Next generation was the best for me IMHO! I'm a total Jean Luc fan.

Being quite addicted to the Star Trek series (mainly Voyager as that kinda had a preset storyline) they really need to make sure they get the gameplay right on this game. From the images it looks like its developing well and the graphics (compared to the humble other consoles) are great. But seriously, if this Star Trek turns out anything like Empire at War (Star Wars game recently for PC) then i'd see it as quite a dissapointment.

snip.
yeah, but i didn't care much for those things :) all in all, i thought it was ok, but not as good as voyager or enterprise series. it would be nice to have some new star trek every week again, though!

KORNdog that's my understanding of it anyway based on the little i've read about it. seems like it'll happen though. (25 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog less risks (not like ubi are particualrly great in that regard anyway) and just barrier for them to do their job. (27 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Moonwalker: it would be a conglomerate and that can be creatively very limiting if they don't fully understand the industry they've just dipped their toe in by buying a major publisher. (28 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Also, for the first time in BioWare's history, they are finally using full facial capture to record the actor's performance. Plus its the first time the Mass Effect team is using the Frostbite engine. (35 minutes ago)

Sdarts @nostradamus: BioWare talks Mass Effect Andromeda squadmates, cut content and that missing release date: [url] Read 5th answer. (37 minutes ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus @Moonwalker: well, i'll on a leg and say its a "lie". It seems on par with DA:I, and if they think thats fine for a reveal trailer, then it doesn't bode well for the final product. (42 minutes ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus almost finishing jak and daxter. So much fun. Whay are a pos knack 2 being made, and not a new Jak? (49 minutes ago)
