Sony has put online a new trailer of Killzone: Shadow Fall that deals with the story of the game. The PlayStation 4 exclusive title will be out the same date as the console itself, on November 15.
Aside from the visual awesomeness, it's the voice work and story that, for the first time ever in killzone, actually looks like it could be good. Love the voice of the guy who i assume is the black hand leader?
Just downloaded to my PS3. The IQ is rediculously good. Lighting, models, textures. Facial animation is top notch given it's in-game (no cutscenes in shadow falls as far as i'm aware?) the rain isn't great though, but really, who cares.
I really liked what i saw in February, but the more i see of it now, the less excited i get. Looks like just another shooter. for some reason the hitbox looks more shitty now, which is a shame. But i don't know, graphically very pretty, but its just not doing much for me.
The graphics are amazing. This is on par with BF3 graphics on PC if you ask me. But the framerate is not solid. I hope they optimised the texture streaming so there will be no noticable pop-in like in the demo's.
I read yesterday that Guerrilla Games has quadrupled the textures' size since the first showing of the game in February, hopefully those frame rates and pop-in issues will be gone when the game launches.
And yes, the graphics are amazing, I'm still trying to imagine what the graphics will be like 3-5 years from now on the middle of the PS4/XBO life cycles, still imagining (dreaming) with a Red Dead, GTA and Uncharted on the same graphical level as Crysis 3, BF4 and that Unreal Engine 4 demo ~rainbows coming out of my eyes~. :D
Can't believe you guys are complaining about the rain.. And the facial animation looks great except for something about the last guy at the end of the video looked a bit off. I see a few flickering graphical anomalies but I'm sure a lot of this will be cleaned up come retail copy.
I really had planned on waiting until next year to get a PS4. I'm starting to count my pennies now.. I'll wait for reviews and gameplay on these games before I break the bank though.
looks amazing, incredible how much direct feed 1080p footage makes the game look great. High rez textures/vidual effects all over the place, the lighting is incredible, some facial ecpressions details look out of this world. Just amazing stuff, congratulations Guerilla Games.

Hell yes.

Looks very impressive for a console FPS, indeed, especially considering the type of FPS it is, but somehow I stiil get the feeling that it lacks a more killer visual package for a Killzone game. I was expecting this to blow up any console FPS away in terms of visuals, just like KZ2 did on ps3. I mean, it still looks killer, but not "kz2 ps3 kinda" killer.
Watched the trailer on my 50" with surround sound and dropped a brick in my shorts. Can't wait for the game to come out. Story seems interesting and visuals/sounds are stunning (looking at you shock therapy scene). A few minor details here and there could be worked on, but I'll be getting this day 1 furrr shurrr. Don't let me down Guerrilla Games.
I'd say this looks a good bit better than BF3 on PC at any rate. There's more going on.
When a game looks this good, it's all the proof needed that these consoles have all the juice required to produce astonishing visuals. Really, when a game can look this good, what's there to complain about? Those are some great character models. Love the fact they all have individual sub tools on there, all very detailed, and the texture quality isn't diluted in game. They are pure, clean HD textures. Any doubts about next gen not being a step up should be erased on day one for anyone buying a PS4 and this game with it. It's not too shabby for a launch title.

Still it's a damn good trailer! I don't know anything about Killzone, but the story looks really interesting here.

It'll probably look much better in person as usual.
