You know what i think of when i watch this? Saturday morning cartoons. Terrible voice acting and a story that seems to be complete ass (why they even bother with a story to a fighter is still beyond me). But well, the whole damn game is just fan service so i guess i shouldn't expect much. Is there a demo coming out or something? I'd love to try the game out buy i just can't see myself paying for this.
Really good trailer, loved all the mixing of the styles along with the music remixes. Never been a huge fighting game fan but this looks pretty decent.
Street fighter was such an untouchable franchise for so many years I guess it is high time for a redux but I play fighters less and less these days so I don't know if I can be bothered. All the fireball throwing actually ended up really pissing me off back in the day...
wow, honestly I was liking the look off street fighter 4 but werent sure I was going to get it due to funds and stuff, but dam that trailer was simply amazing and turned me...just wow.

Agre with you there, i ordered the tournament stick...not to use with SFIV though, i'll probably just use it for VF5 now and then later Tekken 6 but i see it as a bit of an investment seeing as how switching buttons and stick should be a breeze. But wtf, if you get the Tournament Stick it has sanwa buttons and stick, so you should have a pretty good stick there, the pads and cheap stick are probably crap though. Besides, why would you want to play with a pad anyways? The reason you want another controller for SF is to have quick access to the buttons and you won't get that with a pad anyhow.
I hope you're not planning on using a stick strictly for online play, because there's yet to be a fighting game that doesn't get destroyed by lag. Stick won't really help =P
That was one CHEESY CHEESY CHEESY trailer but at least I got to see all the characters (even though the only characters that I don't know that look good are Seth, Gouken and Gen..is Gen really Chun-Li's daddy?!) I really want to get my hands on this game now.
Let's just say that mastering stick use won't exactly make your chances of winning in a laggy game any smaller than with a pad at any rate ;)
But i agree that most games i've played in SC4 have been complete disasters. When i'm up agains another swede (or just nordic player) it usually works out fine but 80% of the time it's some laggy ass american playing kilik (that's basically instant death for me). But hey, it's better to play a laggy game online than agains CPU or not playing at all :)

i wish this game had the art style that was shown in the original trailer (and seen in this trailer) the really illustrative, okami like style with brush stroke/ink effects....i'd have been interested in the game if it was like that, as it is i dont much care for it.
Blanka and Chun Li are definitely the worse voices. They're the only ones where they just make absolutely no sense (for who they are/where they are from)

Arcade stick will help plenty. Helps plenty in Third Strike online, SC4, Virtua Fighter, etc. That's a bunch of nonsense. Sure, the gameplay may not be as tight as it is with local competition, but I'd rather have half decent people to play with the less perfect online version than have to play my scrub friends exclusively.
Hell, I was just playing Soul Calibur online the other day and I was reminded of how reasonable the online mode is with four-to-five bars. Pulling off just frames is a breeze. And it's not even the cream of the crop when it comes to online implementation in a fighting game!

Must be better with more local connections available. Here on the East Coast of the USA I'd say that more than 80% of the SC4 games I've played have been virtually flawless. Note: Not actually flawless, but far better than many other online fighters. Better than Third Strike, better than DOA4. I haven't actually played VF5 online but I hear it's even better. Third Strike on the original Xbox wasn't that bad either tho.....
Anyway--Arcade stick > game pad, it doesn't matter where or how you're playing the game.
Great oldskool trailer. U say cheesy ? Thats how it should for christs sake, afterall this is an arcade fighting game. Take a look again @ tekken 1 & 2, soul caliburs or toshindens( not to mention old arcade 2d games ), trailers and intros etc. U'll find the same cheesisness which brings great memories back. Im glad capcom aint trying to make SF too serious. Kudos for them.
It's funny, when a game everyone loves does something cheesy it's adorable and memorable, but when a game with no history does it people seem to get verbal diarrhea of the worst kind. Just goes to show how fandom works i guess.
