Sega put online a teaser page for Valkyrie of the Battlefield, announcing a grand unveiling at the next TGS. This image was there, and it's either from the game itself, or it least a good representation of what the game should look like in the end.

Hard to get excited because I don't know what games this developer has made in the past.
It's the core team behind the Sakura Taisen series for the most part.

if this game looks like this when i'm actually playing it, it will be a instabuy for me. I can't pass up on games with crazy visual styles

Indeed, Red Entertainment and Amusement Vision - effectively the minds behind Gungrave/Sakura Taisen and Yakuza/Monkey Ball/F-Zero GX respectively.

People that worked on both the Skies and Sakura Taisen are working the new game . Including over 7 people that worked on Skies

Some are saying that image is actually in game. If you look carefully at the edges of the tank and the male character's bag, you can see jaggies. It's just speculations of course, nothing confirmed yet.

that picture has defiantley been hand drawn, the "jaggies" are probably due to harsh jpeg compression.

That tank is obviously polygonal. The metal ring thingy on the right flap is totally a texture. There's no doubt in my mind that it's ingame. It looks like it's using some wild filters to make it look pastell like though.
