I highly doubt that was gameplay. Seems there are so many animations with the blocking of the shield, even smoother than MGS. But real-time is good to have and it looks very awesome nonetheless. I hope this isn't pre-rendered gameplay and is more like target renders cause I'd love graphics like that.

Looks pretty good, him running up the trail looked like a scripted animation though(stays perfectly in the center). Combat looks like it might be interesting.
I think everytime it zooms to his face it is CG or maybe it's like oblivion, where when you go close to someone it streams the rest of the details on the npc's face.

Hard to say, if the combat is truly like what they shown in the video then this game could be a heavy hitter.
This game is gonna be so good. I don't think it's CGI, the art is excellent, and it really adds to how this game looks, but technically, it looks very do able. Either way the combat looks really good, and the game is highly interesting, not to mention gorgeous, art wise at least. Best RPG from TGS for me.
The animations here are SO extremely realistic! And it looks in-game to me, only the parts where you see the characters' faces in full-screen are CG, I think.
