Xbox 360 PS3

Virtua Tennis 3 also was very visible inside Sega's booth, running on excellent looking 1080p tvs. The 360 version was nowhere to be seen.

Animation transition is a bit quick but I guess that is for playability.

Apparently the PS3 version may not have online play because Sony are being very slow in getting all the online software to AM2. 360 version is confirmed online however.

Umm.. why show the Ps3 movies on xboxyde, then? I know it also comes out on the 360, but this is no 360 footage. So you could've kept it to playsyde only ^^

Because I doubt the 360 version will look really different.

Looks like a jittery framerate, the game didn't seem smooth for some reason. I'm sure that's down to how completed this game is.
The green-shirt guy (James Blake) had some weird animations, especially when he jumps. It was like he was given some pep pills and plays in fast-forward mode. Other animations were excellent and on-par with Top Spin 2. However, ball physics were terrible, the ball bounced too much, although this is an arcady game so that can be forgiven. Good fast fun and great graphics.
BlimBlim: Did you happen to play this? Was it difficult to move around and hit shots or easy pick up and play?

Good point Blim. I can't help but wonder if Microsoft's announcement about the 1080p upgrade had anything to do with the 360 version's absense at TG06. Sony has started a war with this whole 1080p by saying that next gen gaming and true hi def doesn't start until the PS3 is released. Now the only bullet left is disc storage capacity. This aint the cd-rom era, so let's give it a rest.

360 one is by a different team, i don't think it will look as good, 2 differently skilled teams working on each version.

You can probably change view like in the older VT games. VT1 had a third person view, think it was the same with VT2:

All the hands-on impressions from the gaming press have said the game runs super smooth. Ditto for the Lindbergh-based VF5.

They'll be the same. I could be wrong but I doubt that since initial screens and vids for the PS3 and 360 version were the same. They'll look identical much like all of the multiplatform games.

Same could be said for half life 2 in that case as valve are not developing the ps3 version...

The 360 version will not look as good and its going to make Sony fans crow. For some reason Sega put their top tier AM2 team on the PS3 version. AM2 is Segas top level team which has made some of their greatest games.

The 360 version is being done by Summo Digital, which is made up of Ex Gremlin interactive and Argonaut software guys. Responsible for the Actura Sports series.

Just a warning, when you start to see the 360 version limp out.

It is smooth, I just mean it feels like in fast forward or that you can see the frames between animations, like not gelling well. If that makes any sense. Still a great game to compete with Top SPin.
