TGS09: Hustle Kings gameplay footage

Soon to be released on PSN, here is an exclusive DjMizuhara video of Hustle Kings, a pool game with a sophisticated physics engine, as quoted from the Playstation official site. I also added a few images that were released a few months ago but that had not been shown here.

Does this use ray-tracing? It looks great.

Wow, those balls are super shiny!. If this game is 1080p... :o

Yeah the game is in 1080p at 60fps...the game looks beautiful it's just a little hard to play and I didn't get long to play it. :(

Erm...NO! Maybe PS4.

To those saying the PS3 can't do raytracing, think again. GT5:P and Killzone 2 both used forms of it.

Best pool game I have ever seen - just wish I could get it for my XBox 360 :(

In terms of scale, this game's not very big, so ray tracing would probably be possible without having the PS3's hardware limitations get in the way.

Not to be nitpicky, the visuals do look really nice, but pool balls never look like that. They look like marbles or they're made of metal.

Those are some nice looking balls

I'd love to play this one, if they nail down the physics.

Not in real time.
The game has to render balls, and a bit of a table, that's about it... It may not be full on ray tracing on every little thing, but don't assume there is only n and off. There are varying levels of quality and it's possible to use it in specific places. And either way, it looks fuckin amazing. Even if it is a pool game xD

Look at the balls! Their so round! lol.

real time reflective mirrors have been in games since the ps1, couldnt this just be using the same method, only on a sphere instead of a flat plane.

I havnt played a great pool game since back in the day. Man those visuals are sick, netter than real life.

About the game

droezelke @KORNdog: Grift just doesn't want to admit it, because his orgasm game is based on lootcrates. (54 minutes ago)

Nietzsche What bothers me most is it truly is creating gambling habits in small kids that also play these games (8 Hours ago)
  • Nietzsche
Nietzsche @KORNdog: exactly, it’s nothing short of predatory. It’s literally using reasearch about the chemical reactions of the human brain to get people to spend more money than they want to (8 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog They want you spending hundreds amassing a room full of dollar store garbage while you search out a t-shirt that actually looks like it wasnt designed by a monkey, (8 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog I don't like lootcrate/nerd block for the same reasons. Yes you MIGHT get something cool, but that glimmer of hope is exactly what those companies are exploiting. (8 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog But obviously thats just a single pay ent pirchase. Pubs want you spending weekly unlocking content you might not not even want or need. (8 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog @Nietzsche: i agree. There os no justifiable reason to have the randomised element of loot boxes. The stuff should just be avalible in a store and you pay for what you want. (8 Hours ago)
