This looks awesome. Still playing through Bloodborne...stepped away from it because of other games, but finally killed the fucker with the gun and now feeling that self congratulatory sense of achievement and progression these games do so well that has you pushing on for that next fix.
It's also a good looking game too - perfect example of a game that looks better in motion than stills.

This is supposed to tell me anything about where in the game you are? lol. Pretty much all hunters carry guns :P
Looking forward to this though, as i think BloodBorne felt a bit short. And more Souls stuff is always welcome, even though i'm really much more interested in Dark Souls 3 :)

That was funny :)
What's with the quality of the TGS Sony videos, though? This one and the Gravity Rush 2 video has a resolution problem, it looks like it was run through a de-interlacer, introducing jaggies and shimmering as if it was 1080i originally, which it probably wasn't. Some marketing idiot at Sony seems to have been given the job of converting videos...

That's probably the actual in-game footage we are going to get. I can't speak for Gravity Rush 2, but Bloodborne does have a lot of jaggies & not the best anti-aliasing option so I'm guessing the expansion would likely have the same fidelity.
Despite all the graphical issues, it's still one of my favorite games to date. The overall atmosphere is beautiful and the combat is so damn smooth & satisfying.
The game may have no (or bad) AA, but this video really has a different kind of problem. http://www.gamersyde.com/pop_images_bloodborne-296...
These jaggies are caused by a de-interlacer, every other line is an interpolation of the two neighbouring lines. This only affects some areas where the de-interlacer detects motion. An untouched 1080p picture would not look smeared but clear with defined jaggies in every pixel line. The same applies to some scenes in the Gravity Rush 2 video, so I'm pretty sure it's a video issue and not from the games. Ah well, I'm making a fuss here but it's really not that relevant, game-wise. Just surprised that Sony and the devs try to show their games from their best sides and then let someone (from their PR team I guess, which have often little regard for subtle technical issues) fuck up the video in the last step with no quality control in place obviously.

I think it does what it set out to do pretty well in terms on gameplay, a slightly faster Souls with no block :P
Thanks. No block? Interesting. Dark Souls is a great game, but the gameplay was the reason I skipped it. I like, when the beating Your opponent is a little more satisfying...I mean better hit reactions and in the end maybe some limbs flying. I will wait for some sales and maybe I will get it.
I think the Souls game all have very good feeling when it comes to hits and such, Souls certainly nails it when it comes to a feeling of weight and impact. If you are like Sath though, and think that 500-hit combos and flipping around like a ninja is the mark of a good action game, then Bloodborne will not make you happy either. It's still Souls at the core.
But also i think a lot of people dislike the Souls game because they never understand them. Once you get familiar with teh weapons, general strategies and understand how to build a decent character the game changes a LOT. Loads of first-timers (myself included) make shitty characters that don't work well in the game, making it waaaay slower and harder than it has to be.

Maybe You are right. TBH I have never tried it myself. But my colleague in office is playing it like psycho and keep buzzing around with long fairytales about his journeys in the game. I've meant something more like (please don't laugh) Severance - Blade of Darkness. For such an old game, it had cool fights. I'm more like into more tactic fighting, than Onimusha style or something like that.
