Capcom has just released brand new assets for Resident Evil 7 for the Tokyo Game Show. Head inside for a new trailer in 4K along with screenshots. Moreover, the demo has received an update and this "Twilight" version will be available to download later today (Sept. 15) for all PS4 users. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $89.99 has been upgraded and will now contain access to three addtional story episodes. The game launches on January 27.

Once again i really hope the ps4 pro 1080p version will have better graphics/fps and not just supersampling because the game will be 60fps i think.

So, are the enemies just these family members or are there some kind of monsters/zombies/ghosts as well? That woman really freaks me out btw

it has to be 60fps to work in VR. so that should be a given.

i can't wait for this game though. it's already on of the creepiest RE games out there, if not the most. combine that with VR and we're in brownsville. lol

They're going to get sued by the makers of Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

And, I rarely say this, but the graphics look really bad.

to be fair it doesn't help that the screenshots are blown up to 4k. 60fps and VR though. it's going to take some hits.

Another TGS and still no Resident Evil 2 REmake :(
Hopefully, what it appears to be so far, Jump Scare: The Game can hold people off until then :)

as opposed to the original series where dogs didn't jump out of windows, zombies didn't burst out of closets, and creatures didn't pounce from off-screen. *rolls-eyes*

i honestly think people have forgotten what the original series was?

I can only image a few things that might be going on if this is related to the old games. Maybe this family is infected with one of the virus and they are super human, immortal-ish, or maybe they are part of an experiment with a new virus.

it's set directly before RE4 i heard. so probably the plaga/ganados situation. outwardly human, able to talk, can do usual tasks, also super strong...maybe have a parasite in their head. lol

Only in this day and age can someone look at a game that looks as good as this does, and think that it looks "really bad".

If you compare the visuals in this, compared to the pre-rendered REmake backdrops, this looks almost as good, only thing is, these are in real time.

In fact, I take that back. This looks even better. We've come a long way.

So far these demos have all been based on the VHS tapes you find in the game. Obviously playable exposition going on. I'd imagine that mansion will be in the present, and that that family will be stalking you throughout, a bit like the Nemesis monster in 3. There could very well be T-Virus style zombies hanging around there too.

Doesnt resemble any of the past 3 resident evil titles. Has a very "western" feel, which I like better. How would this work on a non-vr console, standard FPS?

A lot of people seem to be begging for an action game not realizing that the original RE is what brought horror into the gaming lime light. And I remember when that first game came out. It was terrifying! A friend had it on his playstation and we always tried to play it but we could never get past the dogs bursting through the windows because we would get so scared.

Doesnt resemble any of the past 3 resident evil titles. Has a very "western" feel, which I like better. How would this work on a non-vr console, standard FPS?
