The Cursade Crusade : More details and a trailer

The Cursade Crusade : More details and a trailer

The Cursed Crusade gets a brand new trailer coming with some info. We know from now on the identity of the two heroes, playable simultaneously in co-op mode (online and local split-screen) : the first one, Denz, is a holy Templar whereas Esteban is a mercenary. The game is still planned for a summer release.

Looks damn awesome!

I hope in single player we can decide who to play as, and hopefully the other one is as awesome as the templar in the trailer :)

Last bit in trailer reminded me of Constantine film's version of Hell.

If this development studio would merge with bethesda in creating a hybrid open world RPG with advanced combat mechanics such as this, I'd be in heaven.

But developed by Obsidian.

I think people tend to care more about character customization than progression. Isn't this what level scaling achieves in the end anyway? Why not create an action game like this with deep customization, exploration, and do away with leveling outright?

I do wish they had RPG in it as well so we could create our character face, wear different armor/clothes...etc. would be nice.

Looks cool, but WTF is up with his legs clipping through his clothes? Seriously, it pulls me right out, there is zero excuse for that this gen. If you can't handle it, fix the design so it's not an issue. Grrr...

+1, exactly my first thought.

did you not see the message at the bottom of the screen? it said

(FOOTAGE REPRESENTS A GAME CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT)

meaning the game is not finished yet and they acknowledge that it still needs some work...

like WTF... some people on this site... GRRR!

Problem is that in a lot of cases they don't adress that.

Like for example I saw the same clipping in an Alpha footage of Bayonetta and it was in the finished game aswell.

Maybe they chose to ignore it or just flat out don't care.

About the game

What's up?

MrWhite Not sure if they've improved much these days. (46 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite A lot of Japanese made games were guilty of that whenever voice acting become possible. I mean, aye, it was always cheese, but you tolerated it more back then (46 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The voice acting was always regarded as pure cheese. (48 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Yeah, and the voice acting, something which back then, was great. Today it's just pure cheese. Sound design is often neglected to be mentioned over visuals when talking about progress in games. (49 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX This is what Shenmue combat looks like. It's not heavily based on QTE despite the game making QTE a buzzword: [url] (49 minutes ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Yeah a lot of it was very clunky. It did often boil down to QTE's to resolve "disputes" and chases, if I recall correctly. Mad how a lot of games to this day still do that. (50 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Still one of the better parts of the game. And it's not a bad game, but it's definitely a "good for its time" game.. which means.. maybe not actually good :D (51 minutes ago)
