The Elder Scrolls Online goes unlimited

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has arrived on PC and Mac today. Existing accounts should have been updated. It contains besides the original game all six content updates and of course the removal of subscription fees. The console versions will be out in June.

This is Tamriel Unlimited

And yet consoles needs "subscribtion fee", also known as XBL and PS+ *sigh*
If they remove those, then yes, its a one-time-purchase f2p.

But it is not free to play. One-time purchase negates free to play. Take it up with Sony and M$ if you do not like paying for online gaming.

Plus a new "Elder's Scrolls" game without Jeremy Soule is like a Crash Bandicoot game without Naughty Dog or Spyro the Dragon game without Insomniac Games. I simply won't buy or play it ever.

I bought this at launch...game is beautiful. Great atmosphere and fun gameplay. Pity class balance is abysmal and story is thin. Granted I've not played in months, but, it just seems sick and wrong that to attain effective dps (for nightblade, dragon knight and sorcerer): you're wearing all cloth gear, putting everything into magicka and using a resto staff. Otherwise, gameplay is solid, dungeons and raids are challenging and fun.

So it's essentially the Guild Wars model now. You still have to buy the game. Does the game have a cash shop yet? If not now then soon.

Jeremy Soule did compose it, alongside with someone else.

That's a hell of a description, haha.

... and also what has essentially killed many genres and game series.

I'm surprised they don't go the old Guild Wars model and just release a $60 game/expansion every 6 months and claim no monthly fee required.

Not even free trial for couple of days? No thanks

About the game

What's up?
  • Tiz
Tiz @GriftGFX: It wasn't so much he left Epic as he just left the industry wasn't it? Then he saw that he couldn't quit it as he loved it too much. (0 minute ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I don't know why Cliffy left when LawBreakers looks like exactly the kind of game that he would have made at Epic :D (13 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think Paragon is their biggest in house project so it's been moving a bit quicker than everything else. (21 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog fortnite was announced what? 6 years ago? it was supposed to be one of the very first "next gen" games...granted they never specified which gen. lol (22 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I think the constant development of Unreal Engine counts as being productive too. Heck it's the same with Valve. They are making games. Just not the games people who are complaining want to play. (22 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @KORNdog: Paragon was released as an alpha.. it's already come a long way. They are a bit slow though. I mean.. lord know what the deal w/ Fortnite is. UT is more of a passion project though. (23 minutes ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog but i guess they make an engine that's used pretty much everywhere. so they don't need to be that productive. kinda like valve having steam. . (25 minutes ago)
