I've finally gotten after a few weeks of delay my shipment of three 360 games for my japanese system. Let's start with Bullet Witch, a game developed by Cavia and it shows. You know something's wrong when the very first playable scene of a game is already full of slowdowns. The game isn't ugly, far from it in fact with some cool lighting effect, but it's full of graphical glitches, especially the shadows. The gameplay isn't great either, but not totally bad too. It's just more difficult that it should be to get the ennemies in the center of the visor, and it's usually simpler to just go straight to them than to strafe around. Not a completely bad game, not a good one, just very average.
For some reason it was very difficult to encode this video with a correct bitrate, so I had to cut the 720p version more than I usually do. It only shows the gameplay part, without the prerendered cutscene.
And I think the gameplay that is there is pretty janky and pretty shallow. (7 minutes ago)
I get that you think Skyrim is crap, but The Witcher 3 aint "a good version of Skyrim" because they have totally different goals. TW3 doesn't even attempt half the systems that Skyrim does. (7 minutes ago)
@KORNdog: Nah, that's *really* not all there is to it. You're comparing a broken apple with a poorly designed orange. (16 minutes ago)
It’s gameplay is objectively worse. As are it’s quests, narrative and lore. Skyrim was shit. (53 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: ones broken, one isn’t. That’s all there really is to it. For all your whining about shit combat in Witcher, i don’t really see how you could possibly give elders scrolls a pass? (55 minutes ago)
"The updated GameWorks SDK, coming soon, includes ray-traced area shadows and ray-traced glossy reflections.". and this is what they say will be in a game this year. Not full, pure, 100% raytracer. (1 Hour ago)
@droezelke: not sure i follow you there. The tech MS has in DXR, and Nvidia supports with their so called RTX hardware support is not fully raytraced rendering, but as nvidia says in their own blog: (1 Hour ago)
