Gatling Gears was released last Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade and is in fact a good old shoot them up that will remind a lot of the old Run and Gun games of yore. It sure does not bring much to the genre but the game is still a solid title to play alone or with a friend (local or online). There are 6 chapters (including the prologue), each being composed of 5 levels. Each chapter ends with a boss fight that you have to take down in 3 steps without any checkpoints to make it easy on you. The game is actually quite challenging in medium and hard mode but it should not take you more than 6 hours to complete. The question is, are you ready to pay 1200 Microsoft points to get it? The answer is really up to you, so give our videos a look or, better yet, try the demo.
@scoobs0688: Go play multiplayer now and especially the new HORDE. I have played that for so many hours. I am forcing myself toi take a break now lol, it was eating my free time (58 minutes ago)
[url] man, the new micromachines actually looks good. who woulda thunk it. (2 Hours ago)
lol unshited as online competitive? don't make me laugh. (6 Hours ago)
I liked the first one. The cover system works okay in elimination deathmatch. I'm not a fan of sticky cover as a rule though. Especially now that many games have done contextual auto cover that works. (9 Hours ago)
I guess so? It's been a long time since I played one to be fair (9 Hours ago)
Yea.. that's what Gears of War is. (10 Hours ago)
also GOW looked interesting from some of the competitive matches I saw. But lots of weird sticky cover play (10 Hours ago)
