After a rather disappointing Infinite Undiscovery, quite a few of us hoped that Tri-Ace would get their tech together and would release a stellar looking Star Ocean: The Last Hope like expected from people who managed to do some almost magical stuff with the PS2 hardware. Well, I'm sorry to say that this isn't really the case. While the game has some quite nice lighting effect, the aliasing is always in the way and the image resolution during fights is simply unacceptable. What happened here? How did Microsoft even accept this? Anyway, the game itself still seems to be a quite good action-RPG, so enjoy this video showing the first 10 minutes of the game (Japanese version), with as usual quite a lot more to come in the next few days and weeks. Update: Added a second part, starting a few minutes after the first one (long dialog in Japanese). Update 2: Third and last (for the moment) part is up. We'll start over next week with the US version.
@GriftGFX: He don't like first person view because he likes to see his waifu and husbando's butt cheeks :P (34 minutes ago)
The biggest difference to me is how your character POV changes. I don't mind third person games it just changes engagements a lot when people can see around corners and over high cover etc. (3 Hours ago)
person multiplayer - I just prefer to see the character I am playing with. (4 Hours ago)
@GriftGFX: I very rarely play 1st person SP games. The only ones I played are FarCry 1/2/3, Doom 3, Halo 1/2/3/4/5. RE7 put me off because of 1st person but I will play it eventually. I dont play 1st (4 Hours ago)
Third person cameras can be a bit annoying in multiplayer shooters since it allows you to move the camera beyond your line of sight. (10 Hours ago)
@alimokrane: Why do you only play third person multiplayer games? Do you only play third person SP games? (10 Hours ago)
