Posted by bleachedsmiles just set dragon age in the Lord of the rings universe and i'll be happy.. it's already one step away as it is
Yeah, when I see poor LotR games I always think "just play dragon age". Same setting for the most part and one of the best RPGs in a long time. Between that and ME2 it's been great for RPG gamers as of late.
Battle For Middle Earth I & II and the hack 'n slash games I remember quite fondly -I still partake in the occasional skirmish with BFME2-. Heck even the MMO wasn't bad.
It's worth reminding that these guys were responsible for Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on the Playstation, which was one of my favourite games on that particular system.
My guess is that this will be its spiritual successor, which makes me very excited - and hopeful - for this one.
Of course, even if this is the case, I don't expect it to be exactly the same. I reckon they'll probably try and implement a combat system similar to the old LOTR games on the PS2 which, once again, has me very hopeful.
This oustanding piece of work deserves an outstanding game. Simple as.

@Moonwalker: i know that. But they should have better solution for this. All of the replayability of the game goes right in the shitter in current state. What's the point having score attack..... (2 Hours ago)

The beginning is very similar to Dead Space indeed, but i really do like this atmosphere man and that mech part is good looking. (2 Hours ago)
Moonwalker
in the review that the cutscenes can't be skipped. An explanation for that could be that alot of loading screens are hidden in these cutscenes, thats what he said. (2 Hours ago)

When I said anyone I meant any game studio, you knew exactly what I meant.
