Developer Diary PC

Star Wars: The Old Republic has launched and BioWare celebrate this event with this launch documentary, entitled “Your Saga Begins.” Watch as members of the game development team discuss the many facets of building the game, from bringing life to the stories for each class, to hand-crafting the numerous worlds that you can explore.

This game is very fun. I love the voice acting and different missions for classes!

I do hope they improve armor textures and shadows in this game. Otherwise I think it looks pretty good for MMO.

Pretty lame and boring, its so sad that they have to resort to using an image from the first SW movie to get people's emotions manipulated into buying this crappy MMO.
They better start working on a Battlefront sequel, Republic Commando and Knights of the Old Republic. Note thats a 3rd person, a first person and an RPG sequel.

Well Bioware said this is Kotor 3. I don't think Bioware had anything to do with those other games.

Oh and Battlefront was pretty much crappier version of Battlefield with SW theme to lure in players :P

Every time I see this I just wish they had just done another KOTOR. What a wasted opportunity, meh.

I wouldn't say the opportunity is wasted, but I wouldn't buy it. I won't even bother looking at a video.
it probably doesn't even make a good brand of toilet paper

I think the game rocks and thats coming from someone that played KOTOR to death! It's KOTOR only massive and multiplayer rolled in. Haters are gonna hate tho. Each to their own I guess

I like that Bioware are treating this franchise with much more respect than it's original creator did....

Is there a playable demo due soon? I`d like to play it first before committing myself to another £x.99 per month game again.

I do miss the good ol` days of wow and fancy something MMO-ish to get back into again.

I'm not really sure why everyone is hating on this. I've played for several days now, and I was a beta tester, and I have already placed this on my top-5 games of all-time list. Sure, there are improvements to be made, but it's already surpassed WoW in terms of immersion, fun, and replayability. Once they roll out some patches with new weapons and armor options and create a couple new raids, this will be the de facto MMO out there. To top it off, introducing realistic story elements into the MMO genre is a new twist that makes this game in a genre all by itself.

Like the other guy said, haters gonna hate, but this game has succeeded and then some with everything it set itself up to do. Not only that, but I've rarely seen a more polished game that isn't an MMO, let alone and MMO with expansive worlds and tons of people logging on at once. Most console games have more bugs and glitches and balancing issues at launch than this game does, so I'm beyond impressed. I'll be playing this game for years to come hopefully.

Probably because it's not a SP game and you need to pay monthly fees.

I must say I wasn't interested in the game at all first.. then I got invited to beta and thought why not. After playing I knew I had to pre-order the game :P Definitely one of the biggest surprises of the year for me.

Yeah, I pre-ordered back in the summer when I had the chance, got invited to the beta, and Early Access, and it definitely blew away my already absurdly high expectations. Good job.

Besides the Mass Effect like dialogs, the game is just another MMORPG.

This. I wasn't interested at all as well. I suddenly got invite to the beta and decide to try it out. I got surprise how good the game is, and the story is actually really engaging. I decided to pre-order the game and now I'm having a lot of fun with my lvl 19 Jedi Sentinel.

Isomac what server are you playing and what class? I'm on Keller's Void server.
