Absolutely superb graphics. Best I have seen so far.

That first lycan encounter left me speechless. :-O
Granted, it's mostly 'Press X to win'-QTE's, but from a cinematic point of view this scene left nothing to be desired. Felt very satisfying to me just by watching.

This is the kind of game Gamersyde was made for. Even though I will have the game, I am going to download some of the HQ vids on here.

And what exactly is live rendered?
Everything or just the actual gameplay scene starting at 0:59?

god it looks nice. i actually think uncharted 4 might struggle to better this visually :/

It looks impressive.
And it also simulates short-sightedness perfectly.

P.S. I am still waiting for a game that uses the "power of next gen" to improve on gameplay, not just visuals...

@KORNdog - Agreed. The Order 1886's graphics is on the level of a CGI movie, while being in actual gameplay. What I've seen of Uncharted 4 thus far, can't compete with The Order visually....but Naughty Dog could always surprise us with a upgraded graphics build for Uncharted 4. We'll find out if this is the case....but I have a feeling, that will be in 2016. I see no indication Uncharted 4 will be released this year.

when has that ever really happened since we went 3D? i've accepted that new consoles = new graphics...nothing more. must be horrible being a critic and requiring gameplay innovation to get excited by a game. i just like games that do things well...originality died years ago.

Well, yeah it is horrible. That's why I do not own a new console yet.
I hate that devs don't even improve on destruction, AI or other things that might profit from more power.

Better hardware won't necessarily mean better AI. You have to know how to program for better AI first, and that isn't easy. I think the one thing I'd like to see over pretty much everything else at this point is better animation systems. Animation with AI built in, like the Euphoria engine. Last gen only had the power to utilize Euphoria at a fraction of it's capabilities. I'd like to see it in some upcoming games that take more advantage of that. In my opinion it is animation that is far behind everything else. Some games look almost real in a still frame. What lets you know it isn't at all real is when things start to move.

GriftGFX And plenty of those examples are online PVP games too. Quake Champions probably isn't one of them :D (4 Hours ago)

GriftGFX @MrWhite: No, not really. There are loads of examples of games with microtransactions that don't influence the game design or pollute the basic user experience. (4 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Could you imagine back when arena shooters like Q3A were very popular, and the cunts introduced pay to win bollocks like EA, 2k, Activision et al are doing? Imagine what that would have done. (7 Hours ago)

MrWhite meanwhile on the other end, some kid who just bought the game is playing as Wigan, but they're playing like Real Madrid and giving your superstars a tanking. Time to dip into your pocket to buy packs (7 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite Online play is so heavily scripted, your team inexplicably feels like a bunch of fat pub players in a sunday league side, and you're supposed to be in control of world class athletes (7 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite I mean, if you look at Fifa online, I've been saying for years that thing is a fix and my mates looked at me like I was mental. (7 Hours ago)
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @GriftGFX: But you know it will in some shape or form. It hurts the game by default just by being there in the same way microtransactions and all that other shite does. (7 Hours ago)
