DjMizuhara sent us this video showcasing the new visualization system of the music player included in the new 2.10 Firmware of the PS3. The music choice was his alone.

Nice, pretty slick.
For those that don't like it -- it's optional, you still use the regular one by default.
Perhaps someone has a video of the JeffMinter one that' the 360 uses?

Well for one I use visualizations to help get rid of burn in and all this would do is burn in. Also its moving so slow its boring to watch.

Hmm not sure it goes well to music, but quite impressive as a tech demo, shame you can't zoom in ans stuff :P

Regardless of what it is, it just doesn't make sense to have something like this as a visualizer. A screensaver, perhaps.

FordGTGuy; what are you talking about? How are you gonna get burn in with an image thats constantly moving? And if you're talking about the text in the bottom left hand corner, well you can turn that off. The stars are in the back ground...

Emm the one on the XBOX 360 is bloody class =) Better THan Google Earth...... O and its not even 120FPS Come on Sony.... I want to listin to music With my 7 player games >.< Fools

The screen is fully dark, but the sun moves awefully slow, which could do SOME small burning. But whatever, no problems with my baby.

I love this avs.

That's an issue with any plasma display but no, this will not burn in your plasma as everything is constantly moving. Sure the sun is very well rendered tho lol

It's an optional visualizer, if you don't like it (or don't have a PS3), then it doesn't affect you!

To be honest, after checking it out with some of my mighty soundtracks it fits with some of the "views", some better with the other.

But as far as galaxy looking...BioWare have nailed it with Mass Effect.
