The Dead Space universe has been cool so far, and honestly I cannot get enough of it. Top it off, the one serious flaw in the original Dead Space, was the lack of character development and the lack of a character driven plot. It's that type of thing that separates the good games from the AAA crowd. Judging from the developer diary, EA has addressed that issue, which on some levels should make Extraction a better game than the original.
Yeah its a rail shooter, but so long as it is a good rail shooter, which piles on the creepy atmosphere like the first game, plus joins the web comic and anime in filling out the Dead Space universe with more relevant stuff, why complain?
I'll happily pick this up next month. Looking forward to see how this thing performs running in 1080p under Dolphin anyway. Which all things considered, is going to be my preferred way to play the game anyway.
