Apparently they're fixing that with this version; there will be a new end-game cinematic apparently, as well as a new intro cinematic.

Really can't wait for this. Love me some fantasy RPG goodness.

It's for every version. Enhanced Edition content is going to get patched in for free for everyone, just like they did for the original game.

To be fair I'm making some assumptions on how it will work.. but I've seen it repeated multiple times on NeoGAF that it will be free for current owners of the game. Since they patched in the Enhanced Edition content from the first game, I think that's likely how it will work this time around as well. I still haven't even picked it up personally.. I still have to finish the first game. It's next on my RPG list I think, but I'm taking a little break from the genre. Skyrim (which I intend to return to still) and New Vegas really burnt me out recently.

They were pretty clear on it all in the trailer, and I think they have a page on their site saying all the same stuff. It's free DLC for anyone who isn't getting it on the disc/discs.

Finally got around to playing the Witcher 2 this morning, and man it's awesome so far. Great looking, runs better than most of the other games I've been playing lately, engaging and challenging gameplay, and intriguing characters. After watching Game of Thrones and wanting more, this is scratching that itch nicely.

This is the new intro to the Enhanced version of the game. Geralt's not here, because this is the singular incident, the assassination of king Foltest, which sets the entire story in motion - actually, one of three main story lines into motion. And as is the case in most (not all) stories, the protagonist is usually not around for the antagonist event that sets the whole ball rolling.

It's a good intro. Really sets things up nicely, and gives newbies a proper introduction to the Kingslayer.
