The Witcher 2 explains itself

The Witcher 2 explains itself

Even though the console release of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is getting more and more unlikely, we cannot resist showing you this new dev diary of what will certainly be one of the best RPG to come in 2011.

Couldn't finish first one despite fantastic graphics and great atmosphere overall, hopefully they'll change gameplay in next one so it didn't resemble original a slightest bit.
Also wish devs learned to friggin' make characters eye pupils move finally plzkkthxbye.

Looks great; here is hoping the combat does not suck as bad as the first.

I don't think I could be more excited for this game. I would love to see more about the gameplay. The graphics and animations are clearly superb, but I wanna know how they've improved the actual game.

Have i missed something, why is it more unlikely on consoles. They've never said they're not doing it, just not developing it alongside the PC version. I imagine, someone like Gearbox will port from the PC to the consoles.

Yeah, this game looks to turn out pretty damn cool. I just hope it delivers. Seeing as how the first game was pretty damn sweet i think this will be as well. Cool engine, based on good written material and developers that seemingly know how to make a fairly engaging RPG.

I think at this point it will all game down to sales. If it does extremely well on PC it will most likely be ported to consoles. Thankfully, it's being published by a bigger and more well funded company like Bandai Namco.

haha its going to bomb on PC 100%. The first one wasn't that big of a seller anyway and its going to be pirated to hell and back cause its a single player game. And Namco's marketing sucks! They could even get Tekken 6 to appear on the top 10 charts and more recently they did a poor job marketing Enslaved.

Personally I am looking forward to Dragon Age 2 instead of this, the first Witcher had way too much back tracking IMO and it was very poorly paced. Not sure if want :/

About the game

GriftGFX The 360 was great though.. but I even if Spencer is comparing XB1's performance to the 360's... that seems like yuge spin when you compare it to the PS4. (4 Hours ago)

Moonwalker @MikeManiac61: Hold on, no memorable games? Halo 3, Reach and 4?,Gears 1-3? Forza Motorsport and Horizon? Lost odyssey? Condemned? Crackdown? Alan Wake? Come on now :) (5 Hours ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the first game reminds me a lot of the souls series. doing dungeons/bosses in different orders, cryptic messages and hard to find areas. (5 Hours ago)

Melmoth Legend of Zelda done, now on to Link to the Past. (6 Hours ago)
  • MikeManiac61
    MikeManiac61 @GriftGFX: That's true. I can't remember any memorable IP's from the 360 days lol. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX The success of the 360 had *a lot* to do with it being the best multiplatform console. There may be a diminishing returns thing there though... we'll see. (7 Hours ago)
