this looks a bit ass. but it's the gameplay that sounds the worst...the trailer made it out to be a game with a bit more emotional depth then most games, but no, turns out it's a typical zombie-fest. attatching batteries to swords slicing through hordes. can't imagine it'll be great tbh.

It's a zombie game, did you really expect it to be deep and thought provoking? I thought everyone knew that trailer was just a marketing ploy. They did say they were trying to give some emotional attachment to the charcters, and that is good enough for me. I don't think I would enjoy a zombie game that took itself too serious. I think it would be a bit too bleak and depressing to see children being slaughtered and no humor or glimmer of hope to break the mood. (I have dead space for that kind of stuff.)
Anyway, I think it looks pretty damn good. Graphics actually look above average for a console game imo. If they can make the game have a slightly serious undertone and make me give a damn about the characters, I think it will be a good game. The gameplay sounds pretty good from what i have read (lack of shooting weapons, dismemberment, feeling of survival etc)

I'm with KORN on this one. The potential of a more serious, zombie-driven, open-world(ish) survival horror game trumps the potential of a..what..Dead Rising 3 basically? I dunno, maybe it'll be good. I hope so, but electric swords are currently leading me to believe otherwise.
if i didn't know the size of the zombie in the first picture from seeing earlier pics, i would of sworn he was a giant monster boss; that would of killed it even more for me. it wouldn't surprise me though, they already having electric machetes so they could get away with giant monsters by now.
i agree with everyone about it being disappointed to see it turn out into a zombie hack and slash, but i am still looking forward to this regardless and i do like the look of the game. i am however not as excited for this as i once was.
I agree with UkHardcore23, the game looks stunning for a zombie open world game, and the elements and features announced are bar non amazing. Bring it home silver, we believe in you all :), I will be playing this game for hours, good byeeeeeeeeeee left 4 dead, until l4d3 gets announced that is ;)
I listened to an IGN podcast about this where they said it wasn't the serious game the first trailer implied. Instead it's a comedy filled mix of Dead Rising and Left For Dead.
