Xbox 360

Viper98 was kind enough to let us post his videos and images from the TimeShift Xbox 360 demo, which is available in the newest Official Xbox Magazine in several countries. There are some serious differences in opinions between players about this demo, cause alot of people find it awful - but alot of people seem to enjoy it too. The developers confirmed some time ago that it would some day hit the Marketplace, and a good guess would be around the time that next OXM issue is released.

The PC version (Demo) was "alright" nothing to keep my interest though. Daubt i'll be buying this.
Warping time is nice though, i mean who doesn't like seeing a body explode backwards?

I dont know for gameplay but graphically looks very good. All next gen shader model 3.0 effects are there.

I could tell from the start this game was gonna suck. I'm not talking about the graphics, just the gameplay. The ability to control time is the problem. It looks good on paper but implimenting it in a way that's actually fun is the problem. Basically from all the videos I've seen it's looks like you're playing some fps with a lame cheat code. This game may interest 10 yr olds and special people who 'like seeing bodies explode backwards' ...

Yeah, I tried the pc demo, and the whole time thing wasn't nearly as fun as it may sound - especially considering everything else about the game felt lame. I may try the 360 demo, just to see how the graphics are shaping up, but beyond that I believe I will pass on this one as well.

Um, yeah, whatever >.<

The effects definately look interesting. but at the minute is looking to be more like a shooting gallery than anything else. Looks a little too focused on 'how many different, time-altered, ways can you kill these badguys?' for my tastes.

Anyone know how the use of the time altering effects are limited?

Btw, where is the rest of the HUD?

i think the game would pic up once you get to some of the more complex situations. Thus far, he was a little over power compared to his opponents, so it seemed easy. But the developers speak as if the game is not just a simple "shooting gallery" as one of you has put it.

Well I played the Xbox 360 demo from OXM and while the game doesn't look bad. The difficulty level is pretty high even when set to easy the enemy AI can kill you with 2 or 3 shots.

There had better be some limitations to stopping time. Graphically it looks close to an Xbox game. If I see another fps, I'll probably throw up. I love the first person perspective, but there needs to be more. I love the way Chronicles of Riddick pulled it off. I like figuring out a few simple clues here and there. I like character interaction. I also like a little stealth. Chronicles of Riddick is about 3 years old now, but developers can learn a thing or two from it. I hope Halo3 goes a little farther with the game than shooting. It was fun, but now I want to know more about Master Chief's history and how much of him is still human. Is he just a war machine? Perhaps the next Halo will surprise us all.

I think it comes down to whether or not you WANT to enjoy the game

at it's core it's nothing more than an average FPS with some gimmicky features thrown in

but playing around with those gimmicky features is fun :)

P.S. How did you get my vids to such a small file size? They are over 2x that size on my computer(Viper98 = one of my alter egos)

The PC Demo didn't work for me actually, the mouse was all fubar'd in the game. I'm looking forward to playing a demo of this, although I won't buy the game.

It wont be a huge hit for xbox cause everyones eyes is turn towards 360!
It wont be a hit for 360 cause its not a next generation game!
Te creators of this picked a really bad period to bring out this game!
It could have been huge 1 year back but know its a mess!Graphics is god for an xbox game but nothing to keepr up with real next-gen material! Suck a shame u know cause I've been watchin this game since last year and the way the said it, also made it sound so big!But now for me is not bigger than a size of a peanut

dont get me wrong..the 360 is a nice machine and has a promising future...but all these FPS's are killing it...i thought MS was trying to kill this percpetion of being the FPS machine...and most of these games are subpar/avg. FPS's to begin with...and im tired of all the porting...yeh its cool to finally have some PC titles for the 360...but its time for some original content...oblivion seems like a breath of fresh air..along with Ghost recon , but they need more , fast.

hmmm...that looked promising, but the slowing down of time that doesn't affect u one bit should be put to use in other types of games, not fps IMO.

Huh? Lets see, just about now, we've got something like 5 FPS on the 360 out of nearly 100 (based on a careless count of gamespot's game database). And all five have gotten decent (Quake 4, although some liked it less than others) to fantastic (GRAW, PDZ) reviews. Geez, get your facts a bit more straight.

I got that demo a couple days ago with OXM and havent gotten around to trying it. Right now Oblivion refuses to leave the 360's disc tray.....

But is it really that bad?

MLB2k6 is taking my time now.

This game and some other coming soon won't usurp it.

I am afraid nothing will until NCAA Football 2007 comes out.

Seems like an rather standard fps with some silly bullettime thingy to me.
It might be fun once or twice, but to base a whole game on that feature?
