Toca 3 gameplay video

Toca 3 gameplay video

Codemasters released this gameplay video of Toca Race Driver 3, and it's really worth a look. Even though it's coming to Xbox (and even though the video is from the PC-version), its still really impressive to look at. I'm not talking only about the graphics, but the sense of speed is really great and the AI cars behaves pretty well.

I've had it with this. More of the same, every part. I don't care for better shadows in this one - therefore I'll get PGR3.

Great video and great game.

I have 2 questions...
1- It's online?
2- Is Codemaster planning to do a Xbox 360 version of the game?

Looks awesome 20 car races - not just 8
Decent damage system - makes you look after the car
Yellow caution flags for big crashes,
Black flags for dangerous driving / corner cutting !!!
Awesome TV style replays with split times & other on screen graphics

There's a PC demo online at http://www.codemasters.co.uk/downloads/
I wish it was a 360 game, but i'll be buying anyway

Anyway, if Toca 3 is that great, Can you imagine how the hell will Toca 4 be for X360? :-)

To be honest, not that much better. Because it is on PC, the jump from toca 3 to toca 4 will not be that great. Same with call of duty 1 to COD2. PC games gradually get better, they do not jump.

IMO all these PC ports are holding the 360 back. As PS3 has very few PC ports, it can really make some amazing looking games.

We will have to wait for the PC to catch up with 360 before we see amazing graphics(excluding 360 exclusives like halo3).

Looks like PGR3 cockpit, also the sence off speed feels better, No motion blur which I hate makes my head spin in some games.

MEH, I've been very dissapointed with past Race Drivers. They alwasy DON'T get the physics right. They get it for a few cars, but since the game covers sooooooo many driving genres, it's just VERY hard to get all of them RIGHT. Oh and it would be fine if they were close, but I can still remember playing the "rally" series in Race Driver 2........simply aweful.

I could not agree more on the physics, lebato...

The last toca race driver was horrible in that department.. simply like you were driving on ice with a paper car... no weight at all... yuk...

And that's a damn shame.. because it had a lot of cool race tracks in it.. the online part was fun as well, but it lacked good handling...

I just wish they would not cover that many racing leagues.. only do the ones that really matter.. truck racing was fun for one go, but who was planning on doing that online all the time? same goes for rally driving.. awful stuff...

The gambella seemed to handle better though.. the track looked good as well.. the draw distance is amazing again... now if only they could implement a full working cockpit view with hands and steering wheel again like the first toca, and get the physics right, i will buy it again.. it needs to be on the 360 as well... :)

Wow...you've obviously never played many PC games have you? Look at the jump from Battlefield 1942 to Battlefield 2...huge difference.

Anyways, this game looks kickass...I've always liked the Toca games, and since its more of a simulation game like GT, I'd pick this over PGR3. But its also gonna have monster trucks too...so im sold.

Just to let you know, PGR3 is more of the same...with better shadows rofl..

Seriously, thats like saying taking a piss is more of the same...

Heads up: racing games ARE more of the same, the only difference is gameplay is tweaked and new features are added.

never gotten into the Toca series much (iirc, the first Toca was a failure, pretty much), but no matter.
This looks great.
