They try to hide the bad textures from the houses by making everything so dark :P

It looks alright, but its not really next gen.

I like the customisation features, cockpit view isn't too bad either.

Well, at least most will consider getting this now, once it comes out over here (europe, states, uk, etc) IF it comes out over here at all, that is...

But i agree with manager, everyone called it a ps1 game when they saw the last update on this game, with the below average pics, and the two non gameplay inlcuding trailers... i think it's fair to say they really showed them it's a worthy title...

I dont see the bad textures like we saw in those pics... and the gameplay looks, as always with shutokou battle games, promising! and this is just the tip of the iceberg... there are many, many bosses to battle, more road then you can imagine, i hope you can get flashed again and get speeding tickets as well.. haha... and im really liking the cockpit view! who'd knew that would ever happen in a TXR game?
The customizing has always been good, and by unlocking more to stuff, it will only get better and better!

Now if only ubisoft or another publisher would jump on this after seeing this trailer, we could enjoy the game as well sometime in the future! i dont think this one will be region free.. :(

If I didnt have Xbox360 already I would buy it for this game alone.

I bought the DC for it, love TRX3 on PS2 and will love the 360 version.

That's pretty powerful. I remember enjoying TXR2 a whole lot of my Dreamcast, but I haven't played one since then. If this turns out well I might rent it to have some fun. The bump-mapping on the road is pretty nice.

Before I bought the xbox 360 I was waiting for this game with the trailer MS released last year and even now I take a glance at it every now and then.
I LOVE TXR!!!

I loved this game on Dreamcast but from that trailer it looked the same, some japanese developers don't really seem to care about their products they put on the 360 which is pretty sad. I bet it won't look this bad for the PS3 dispite it will be more difficult to develope for.

Wait, does anyone remember that ubisoft list that was supposed to be leaked a few months ago?

It had a game on it called "highway battle('s)" or something like that...
Now, i have read somewhere that two games on that list were actually real and announced at E3, which made the list pretty much a lot more credible...

I dont have the details anymore, but am i right about this?
If so, big chance we will see this within a couple of months then, instead of waiting one year, or waiting while it's not coming over here at all ,TXR3 never made it to europe :(

Oh, and that steering wheel is not turning while you use the cockpit view.. no hands, no moving steering wheel.. bit of a letdown, but im still optimistic about this game!

Do you guys have an idea why a game like this is coming to X360? IMO they are not testing waters, a small developer like Genki has realized that the ease of development of X360 is worth the investment and the risk of releasing in a console thats not so popular in Japan. I guess we should support the game and give it a rental at least cuz thats the way to attract any developer to x360, by supporting its titles. If we want to see a better race between x360 and PS3 we have to support the small titles, and not only go for the big guns.
PS: i want a better console race because it will bring the best out of developers and console makers, not specifically because i want x360 to win.

Looks more like a Xbox title to me. And i don't see any nice refelctions, the refelctions on the cars look like those in GT4(wich are nice to but not next gen).

It looks like crap, every game looks better in motion, but that doesn't make this game look anything beyong just crap. The reflections look awful in part because of how bad the car models are. And to end this, low resolution and quality textures all around the place..........ugh......I hate Genji.

EDIT: LOL!!!! That fraking in-car camera without a moving wheel, that's just down right unnaceptable, it makes no sense at all! WORST LOOKING "next gen" GAME.

well all the past txr titles weren't the best lookin games either, but they the games were still hella fun to play and had a high replay value. Plus now they added online play so it just gets better. I dont care if this game doesnt look next gen, it still looks fun. So help me god someone better bring this to the states or I am gona write a letter

Like in every TXR game, there is no daylight... just dusk and dawn.. but no daylight like in the afternoon at full daylight, so no, i dont think they tried to mask anything...

Anyway, i still cant believe people think this is the worst looking game ever, i agree, it looks average, and i believe that this series will never look beyond average.. all 9 of them always looked a bit behind the competition, but the gameplay, the roads, the atmosphere, the cars, the customizing, the battles, now online gameplay, will always be good and have that typical TXR/shutkou battle style to it... which is superb if you actually played on of these games, and liked it.

Just be openminded a bit... i know im defending this game a bit.. heh, but i feel there are people hating this game without having played or dig a bit deeper in the series..
