Copious Lara Croft celebrates ten years of gaming and, as a present, players can experiment many remakes of the original levels with today's graphics on different systems. The game, called Tomb Raider Anniversary, will also be available for Nintendo Wii and the developers added some exclusive features using the Wiimote, as shown in this video with the flashlight. On this note, I wonder why they put the interesting part at the end of this already short demonstration. Oh well.
The point was, nvidia (and ms) seems to be pushing to put this tech on the marked and and adopted within a year or two, and not just putting out a paper about possible gpu/api directions in the future (18 minutes ago)

as for generational jump in performance. i think for nvidia it's been about 1.5-1.7x increase the last 4-5 gens. with the pascal cards (10 series) being around 1.7x performance of maxwell (900series) (2 Hours ago)
