I really like the gritty style of this one. That something special that will change tomb raider?I hope it's not mp,instead something more clever. The music parts were interesting too.

and you know the XP system well enough to call it stupid, I take it? Please keep those comments to yourself until you can back them up with some credibility. You hate the game and that's fine, you're entitled to that but don't go around spitting rubbish! The jury is still out on the XP system, we know nothing about it!

Very excited for this!
I only think it was a weird decision to not to implement swimming mechanics, even tho water was very well present in the first trailers of the game.

Mine is not a blind defense, I said the jury is out, that's different than saying the XP system is brilliant. We dont know yet!

Blond hair does not agree with CHUCK, and neither does that beard.

Is he actually looking for work in his real field career? I would like to see hum back on tv, or a movie.

There's a lot of the regular negativity, sure, but you are being a bit defensive. I want this game to turn out well to, I just don't have faith given what they've shown us thus far.

"something that will change the way I play Tomb Raider" what can it be, then? there isn't anything they can really show by now, either than a multiplayer mode, or dwelling on how the stupid addition of XP changes the way you play. Wathever it is, it's the next chapter topic.

They told at least this much of the XP system:
A set amount of XP will create a single skill point. Once you’ve acquired a point, you can allocate it to unlock the particular skill you want!
This is an aspect I like:
Fire behaves as you expect it would in reality – you see a barrier made of wood and cloth, chances are you can burn it out of your way. Water puts out fire, and can be used to transport buoyant objects. In a similar vein, strong enough wind can create movement.

This game is destined to fail hard, I mean where are the D cup size boobs?

Also she has little to no ass.

Shake my head hard at this.

They exchanged that for plenty of "titillating" faux rape scenes that the kids go crazy for.

I've grown tired of games trying to be movies, but this looks like it could be a good rental.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. Game went from most wanted to a maybe rental when I found out how linear and scripted everything is. I think this had the opportunity to be game of the year, but not if it ends up being nothing more than a short, overly directed movie.

Perhaps, I just hate it when some people assume things are going to be a certain way with nothing to back their statement with.

But how is it better to think things will be all peachy with nothing to back their statement up?

It's a pre-judgement either way.if you where truly taking the 'jury is out' 'wait and see' approach, you wouldn't get so defensive when someone thinks differently. You where the same in the chatbox when we where discussing the moronic absesnse of swimming...if you can have blind faith, i think it's only fair for people to have blind hatred. But maybe that's just me *shrugs*

Yeah, we may not know everything about the title, but I think it is definitely enough to form an early opinion.......and that opinion is not so good. I think a lot of people (myself included) are instinctively negative when they start seeing things they don't like or that have been removed. It is much better to be pleasantly surprised than the be crushingly disappointed.

This is how I feel about the new TR. I remember reading the first article about the game, and it sounded incredible. Then they showed the first gameplay and it was ALL QTEs. Then they showed some more and it was linear little trails with auto-guided exploration. Then I hear no swimming in a game series that has featured it heavily, which takes place on a flooded island?

Hell, the game may still end up great for all I know. I just picked up Dishonored a few days ago, and I was blown away with how great it is. After watching videos and reading previews, I had no interest in the game, but there is just something about the game that videos couldn't capture. I am hoping the same for TR, but I'm also not holding my breath.
