(NASDAQ: THQI) today announced the acquisition of the publishing rights for 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. The highly anticipated sequel to the multi-million unit selling title 50 Cent: Bulletproof, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand will put gamers in the role of world famous hip hop artist 50 Cent as he, and members of G-Unit, battle their way across two war-torn countries on a mission to collect payment from a crime cartel boss. 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is currently scheduled for worldwide release in early 2009, featuring run and gun shooter game play, brawler style combat, online co-op and eighteen exclusive new 50 Cent tracks.
“50 Cent is a cultural icon and one of the biggest names in hip hop. THQ is thrilled to be working with him on this exciting new title,” said Brad Carraway, vice president, global brand management, THQ. “Combining intense single player combat, drop-in and drop-out online co-op and never-before-released music tracks makes this the ultimate package for gamers and hip hop fans alike.”
"Blood on the Sand has non-stop action and exclusive music tracks from me and the G-Unit that you won’t find anywhere else,” said 50 Cent. “Plus our fans will be able to play together with online co-op, and maybe even join me or one of the G-Unit online."
Instead of jacking the price up $10 like they did in 2005, they give you less than half the game and make you spend hundreds to unlock it. Biggest price bump ever. (30 minutes ago)
It's almost a full game now. Just like how it used to be pre-2006. (32 minutes ago)
GTA V gives you the whole game, GTA Online, and any number of small DLCs for only US$ 60, amazing. (37 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: That post about NBA is funny as hell, Jesus, funny how much you get from a US$ 60 game like GTA V and almost nothing with others. (38 minutes ago)
Thankfully Start8 ($4.99 addon) makes Win8.1 a much more efficient Windows 7. Otherwise I'd have a $2,000 tablet with no touch screen. (39 minutes ago)
@Melmoth: Don't forget every installed application. Because if you try to find one program in Metro you will wind up in Pan's Labyrinth. (41 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: some years ago (before win8 was shown) i started questioning the usefulness of the start menu. i found out i only clicked it for the control panel and computer management. (51 minutes ago)
