If the graphics will be the same as in Condemned 2 then it will be a great game... i enjoyed Fear and fear files so hope this will be better

I hate FEAR. I hate grey color after FEAR and Condemned. I hate office-type rooms after Fear.
WTF with Monolith??? They made such nice games like NOLF1/2 and TRON2.0 and now what? j.A.S.S. - jUST Another Shitty Shooter?
I want NOLF3!

i agree with you that those office type rooms etc but monolith always did great games... the bullet time was good and the story also wasnt that bad... maybe the will fix the level design

the first war repetative as fuck and had practically no story, but i wouldnt mind playing this. it'll be a rental tho, no matter how good it may be.

FEAR has an awesome story.. there's just no narrative. There's a big difference.

When it comes to actual plot, FEAR > Condemned by a long shot.

FEAR on the pc back in the day(2005) was awesome, the console versions were crap.
i hope this new one follows in the same steps as the first one on the pc and doesn't turn out to be another shitty console port like splinter cell DA etc.

but thus far it looks quite promising.

not in my opinion it doesnt, the whole alma/cannibal guy (forgot his name) was just crappy imo. plot, narrative, story....everything sucked in it. the gamplay was good, shooting mechanics and the AI where top, some of the best ever imo. but then the games setting and story where just crap/non existant. after the first level you practically saw all the environments in the whole game...lol

k... it still has a better story than a whole lot of FPS games though. It's actually quite good. Certainly one of the best FPS of its year--in a year packed with great FPS too. The whole, "lol there's one environment" complaint is such an old hat. There are good shooters that literally take place in one environment (which FEAR doesn't, and FEAR 2 won't).

I wonder if... You have supernatural powers of some kind in this game. It's been revealed through the original games plot that you're indeed Alma's son, and you're brother (you know, "the cannibal") was raised/developed with psychic abilities in mind. This already explained their use of bullet time in FEAR (your enhanced reflexes are actually psychic reflexes), but it'd be cool if they expanded upon this.

Monolith hasn't lost their touch. They still create some of the most compelling first person games around.

About the game

What's up?
  • Melmoth
Melmoth like here (norway) i know people who preordered it, none got it. so they can't have sent many this way. Personally i wasn't planning on getting one, but i feel sorry for those who tried and failed. (1 minute ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth themselves), they should have put out a few more runs to atleast cover the people pre-ordering it. i'm fine with limited time availability otherwise. (3 minutes ago)
  • Melmoth
Melmoth the whole nes-mini thing was lame. i understand they planned it as a limiteds-time release so people could get something cool for christmas 2016, but when they misjudged the marked (which they said.. (4 minutes ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks I stopped trying to make sense of Ninty's decisions a long time ago lol. "This cheap machine prints money? naaaah" (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX I guess it was supposed to be a limited run in the first place.. but you'd think it'd be a pretty easy way to make money too. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tinks
Tinks yeah they certainly decided against trying to meet demand. They probably wanted to focus on Switch demand above all (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX Or they just didn't feel like it. I have one in the box. I think I'll keep it there for now heh (1 Hour ago)
