Sega released this trailer of Virtua Tennis 3, showing the Xbox 360 version in motion. It's actually running in 1080p, even though the downloadable version is in 720p. Inside you'll also find a low-res video showing some different minigames.
Definately the best looking tennis game ever...but i still don't understand why it doesn't look even better....i mean, how can a basketball game look better when there are 10 on the court at one time, and a tennis game look worse when there is a maximum of 4....but still i'm very happy with this, and will of course be buying it, but i do really hope that in the future some company will release a fully fledged out tennis game with the top 20 players in the ATP and WTA tours, as well as at least all of the grand slams and atp masters series events.
this looks amazing,the players look real,how can yu say it dont look as good as a basket ball game,the clothes and everything moving on here looks great,really smooth to saysit being ouput at such a high res

I kindof agree.. It could look even better.. One of the things I really miss is for example realtime skidmarks on the clay-courts, you would think that the Xbox 360 and PS3 would be powerfull enough for it.. I also agree with kenshin2418, the blurr behind the ball annoys me, it looks to arcady.. That's a general fear I have with this game, that it will be to arcady, also in gameplay.. I really like Toppin 2 because it actually looks and plays like real tennis..
I'll wait for a demo of this game.. If I really like it and think it's better then Topspin 2, then I might sell my Topspin 2 and get this instead as my tennisgame..
ive actually just recently bought a dreamcast and just got the original v.tennis earlier today and i have to say its alot of fun so im now more interested in this.

I think the movement will look better in the final game. I'm pretty good at the virtua tennis series, and it's important to be the right distance from the ball, and get there in time etc when hitting it. The person who recorded this isn't very good at the game imo(no offense) if you watch players who play it alot it will look different.
It looks good and captures the atmosphere very well, especially the courts are very well designed.
But, the gameplay looks like crap...especially the animations.
Looks okay to me..could be my love for the first two Virtua Tennis games skewing my opinion though. It's a very arcadey game, but it's a lot of fun with some friends. I'm in.
