Trailer PC PS4

The majestic and magical fantasy game of Frozenbyte is heading to the PlayStation 4. Trine 2: Complete Story, already available on PC, contains the main game, the Goblin Menace DLC and the secret Dwarven Caverns level. I really don't get what all the fuzz is about with this game. It looks ok, but i thought the gameplay was garbage, tbh. It's like they put all their energy in to making it pretty but forgot taht you actually have to play it too. Too bad, the fairy-tale atmosphere is really nice.

Great game...but one of the most anti-co-op, co-op modes ever. If you where the wizard you could just make a plank and levitate everyone over any danger. In single player the act of switching characters made it challenging to bypass obstacles, and you had to solve the physics puzzles as the developers intended. Co-op. You could just force your way through.

Can't say i'd buy it again though. Was hoping it would be like flower etc, where the PS4 version is available if you had bought the PS3 version.

Nope, not buying this. I was waiting the Goblin Menace DLC (or whatever it was called) for my PS3 a little too long and lost any interest for those devs products as a result. Better try to sell it to WiiU owners Frozenbyte.

My feelings are a combination of korn's and your statement vegaman.Did they even say why the dlc never came to ps3 or 360?I wonder why this doesn't fall under the payed for on ps3 ya don't have to pay on ps4 deal?Money is tight at frozenbyte i guess

They said they tried, but due to using different publishers for each version, it was impossible to offer PS4 for free to those who bought the PS3 version. They're trying to offer a reduced price for those who already bought it, but they think that's unlikely too. As for the DLC, apparently there was some performance issues with it.

Wow, entitled much?

You really have no idea what issues they encountered porting it to any particular platform, do you? (Neither do I) But you just assume that these hard working developers are somehow keeping something from you that's OWED to you and now you're going to boycott them (and likely bad-mouth them across the interwebz, as many of Generation Entitled do).

Developers work very hard to give you these experiences. They do on average 12 hr days for months, sometimes YEARS, just so somebody can shit all over their work.

Makes you wonder why any of them do it at all, especially the little guys. If people keep on going down the entitlement path, bitching and moaning about what they're owed and not supporting the little guy, there's no wonder you only get the same old giant fluffy sequel after sequel from big publishers and crappy knock-offs from little guys.

Game looks sweet. I'll be supporting good devs doing good work.

Don't really care to answer anything below that point. They didn't delivered what they should have (not to mention what was promised). So my interest in their work is lost. No one to blame but themselves.

Well then we have the other end of the spectrum what with people who behold developers as almighty gods. It is a relationship between consumer and developer and both ends have to do their bit. If they release something people want on a platform that nobody owns then that is obviously gonna piss some people off, and in the same way not exactly help them push their sales much.

No matter how hard a developer works on a game it still has to be a good game and made available in a way that it reaches the consumer. You can't just go "but they worked SO hard making that game, how dare you not appreciate the effort!?". A good game is a good game and vice versa, and the same goes for distribution. In the end, it's not really your concern as the consumer what technical difficulties or what shitty publishing deals you may use as an excuse. You either buy the game or not and that's really the only factor. It's not like he's going to damage Trine 2 by slagging it off online. If that was the case every single game ever made would be down the shitter before it was even released.

And to answer your question at the end there, i imagine that most people who work with games, and especially indie titles, do it for the love of making games. Not to have some wanker stroke their e-dick on neogaf.
