THQ kills three birds with one stone by providing a video which focuses on the combat system, a press release about the Ultimate Fights Mode and a new set of images to embellish it all. UFC 2010 Undisputed is planed for May 28th on Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP.
Press release :
UFC Undisputed 2010
ULTIMATE FIGHTS MODE
Ultimate Fights Mode is the evolution of UFC 2009’s Classic Fights Mode and allows players to relive some of the more memorable fights in UFC history. Players are given the opportunity to play the mode as a single player experience in an attempt to unlock content associated with each fight. Players can also play the mode as a two-player experience, squaring off against friends with special presentation and commentary elements.
Each fight opens with an introduction from one of the UFC Octagon Girls, Arianny Celeste or Chandella Powell, who break down the significance of each fight. Following the introduction, a pre-fight montage is played with comments from each fighter and a brief history on how the fight came to fruition. Once the prefight montage is over, the basic match flow occurs and gameplay begins.
The main difference between Classic Fights from last year and the Ultimate Fights for UFC Undisputed 2010 is the introduction of Fight Categories and Multiple Challenges for each fight. Assigning each fight to a category helps structure the mode and allows players to easily identify each type of fight, while the introduction of Multiple Challenges for each fight adds replayability to the mode.
Another new component is the ability to “play as the spoiler” (or the fighter who lost in real life) and provide additional challenges and unlocks associated with the losing fighter, where players look to “rewrite history.”
Upon completing all the challenges, the player unlocks the ultimate reward – a montage that recaps the actual Ultimate Fight itself.
UFC Undisputed 2010 will offer players 20 exclusive Ultimate Fights for the PlayStation 3, while Xbox 360 owners will have access to 15 Ultimate Fights. The Sony-exclusive Ultimate Fights list is as follows:
Ultimate 2009 Category
UFN 18 – Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann
There are some nice improvements, but I think the EA MMA game looks much more impressive. They still look/move like robots in this one. If the EA MMA game has that Fight Night magic, and it certainly seems to, then that is what I will be checking out.
The EA games has great fighters in it too, though. Besides, what's the point of having Quentin Jackson or Chuck Lidel if they don't move/ behave like them? Dan Henderson will be in the EA game...

Fair point but you know how most people will react when they see the covers and roster list regardless of how good one is over the other.
one thing that put me off the first one was the control scheme.. it just seems too clunky and complicated. I've no doubt it was probably rewarding.. but it wasn't very accessable.
FNR4 on the other hand anybody could pick up and have it feel fairly natural.
MMA will be adopting the FNR4 control scheme..so my moneys on that at this point. Don't really care which has the most licenced fighters as i only know 2 guys in the sport
Would it be cool to have Silva and Kimbo( even though he gets whooped often, I like him because he makes me think of Jeffrey from Virtua Fighter)? Sure, but EA has Henderson and Coutoure(? spelling?), not to mention fighters from other leagues like strikeforce, Pride, and others. Hell, having the different rings makes a big difference. UFC is about UFC , while EA's offering is about MMA. If the fighting is as natural and authentic as FNR4's then it WILL stomp this. You should be focusing on the fighting, not fighting the controls...

Not to the true fan of the sport...EA MMA has the best fighter in the world, maybe in the history of the sport (Fedor) and UFC is not the only kid on the block anymore. Their game does look stiff and robotic and I agree that MMA looks much better. Still, I am a fan of the sport but somehow I just don't give much of a shit about a game based on it, somehow the "unrealistic" fighting games always end up being much more satisfying.

and the UFC will have Lesner, Penn, GSP, Ortiz, Liddell
hell, even Kimbo Slice (whatever your views are on him, i don't care, not relevant to my point)
i don't care if you're a "true fan of the sport", that's not really relevant to a games star power draw
all of the above have far more commercial draw than Fedor has. thats been tested and proven by PPV numbers.
Fedor may be better than all of them. the "true fans" might adore him above anyone else. still doesn't change that all those other names will have more commercial draw than him.
thus, UFC's game has more "star power"; "true fan", "fake fan", blue fan, ceiling fan, or otherwise.

Posted by CRACKSPEED EA mma is gunna destroy this.
And what do you base this on? Hype? Fancy graphics? EA MMA is a new unproven franchise from a really uneven developer.
UFC undisputed 2009 was a fantastic game that got great reviews everywhere.

@Sath: I'm not talking about download time, i understand that downloading it takes time, i'm talking about the INSTALL that you have to do after it's downloaded. (1 Hour ago)
