Capcom has unveiled Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 at San Diego's Comic Con. This re-release game will be out in November and contains 12 new characters (such as Strider, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, and Hawkeye) and 8 new stages. Trailer, gameplay videos et screens inside.

Man i was hoping this would be downloadable for $15-20.

Characters not shown:

Vergil (DMC), Dr. Strange, Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Rocket Racoon, Nemesis, Iron Fist, Nova.

I could have seriously done without Firebrand and Hawkeye in favor of characters like Date Masamune and any other. I thought Squirrel Girl had high votes on their site? smh if she gets held out for DLC.

As for the trailers, i was hoping they got rid of X-Factor for good. One of the most BS gameplay features in fighting game history but looks like they didn't. Im hoping they at least tone it down but you know-_-. I like the new life bars. Of course im happy for Strider, his moves are ok guess but he almost looks like zero out there-_-.

Don't you already have Wolverine and X-23? What's the point in getting another close range character with claws? See, I'm not even asking for Vega here )))
I KNOW IT"S DATE MASAMUNE but personally I'd prefered Oda Nobunaga instead. He's not my favorite BASARA character BTW but he fits more to this.

Bah i got the list from capcom's site where they had the pics of those characters. Some could be wrong and the reason i say that is because the lack of females among the list. And yep, Date would be awesome

And if they list is true, Capcom shitted on its fans once again.lol. Hawkeye wasn't even in the top 25 on the list, Rocket Raccoon wasn't even on the list. I don't think Firebrand was either. Which made the whole voting virtually a waste of time. Yeah i know capcom said they would only take the list into consideration but come on now-_-.

^ Marvel's side is decided by Marvel from the commercial point of view. Not by Capcom. Not by the fans' polls. As simple as that.

Capcom's side is a bit more about variety in terms of what character can actually deliver to the game. And yeah you can't make the fighting game at Capcom without Ryu, Chun Li and few others like Morrigan Aensland. If fans wishes were followed we'll get another bunch of lame shotos and a half the MegaMan's main cast from every single series. Thanks but no thanks.

I know what Marvel's side is determined by but at the same time they took the poll into consideration so they could very well push for those characters too if they wanted(Capcom). They did it for Shuma. And far as Capcom's side go, they should listen to the fans more. No one really cares for Firebrand, im sorry but its the truth. They could have done better than wasting a slot on him and still maintained variety.

Well, Shuma wasn't fans' favorite either. But he's quite an original character which is great for variety so, yeah, they aproached Marvel with that suggestion. And personaly I'm grateful for this since Shuma is one of my favorite characters from Marvel's side.

It's truth. But to be honest I'd rather have him than Ken Masters, Sakura, Cammy, Lilith or Gallon (Jon Talbain). And sure I think there are characters I'll trade him on anytime. Like Gene (God Hand) or Gerelt (Star Gladiator) or some BASARA character. But he's in and I can't really say it's a waste of slot in overall roster. But that just my two cents of course not a representation of fanbase's opinion.

Glad I never bought into the MArvel Capcom 3 hype... specially since they cripped the gameplay away from a respectable Arcade game were you could fight people without BS.
Capcom shame on you for removing or screwing up kick buttons and putting that travesty of a laucher button.
If its a bargain bin game that does not require some stupid XBL connection to play the new content I will consider buying...

Oh man, thanks for putting strider into this crap... Hope there aren't that many fans out there who'll fall for it and buy this game (again?), just because capcom puts their favorite characters into it, though refusing to really continue said franchises for years now.
