best soundtrack EVER.
Absolutely. Soundtrack from GTA: Vice City is untouchable. 80s music is untouchable.

It must have been something you said..." :)

Fanrastic! The GTA I loved most of all, although I wish I had an iPad to play it on as iPhone is too small.

eh... I feel people always put 80's music on a ridiculously high pedestal.

I mean, it's fantastic and all, but it's not the end all be all.

It's better than 90% of today's shit at any rate. Just a fact, really.

Not at all.

It's such a common cliche to say "80's music is the best & today's music is shit!" I find the reality is that most people are embarrassingly out of touch, or are just too set in there ways to engage with music today.

Hell the vast majority of music in the 80's was overrated rubbish. I find that the 60's & 70's were much stronger.

60's, 70's, 80's 90's then Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...flatline. Nothing but absolute turgid, uninspired bollocks in the charts these days.

Well, if you just talking about "the charts" then I don't know, as I don't follow that.

Always listened to the classic / rock stations in vice city all through to stories on the psp. Grew up with 80's music through my dads music collection and just have more of an affinity to it than even 90's music. Don't get me wrong, there are bands and artists that can be every bit as creative as the music that I grew up with today but they are so few and far between and more often than not fade away to be drowned out by todays music.

80's music has spawned far more classics though, far more contemporary and timeless than the majority of music created in the past decade. I don't see a classic compilation of hits from the 00's being anywhere near as popular as from other decades.

I feel the good 80s songs are better then any other era's good songs though. I know, when i all else fails, the 80s playlist will bring a smile to my face. It's why i almost exclusively listen to absolute80s radio. I was barely aware at that time period, but for some reason the music clicked with me more then any other. Don't get me wrong, i like stuff from all over the place, but the 80s are untouchable. Even now, the likes of kavinsky and night call or m83 and midnight city, or the faunts and m4 part 2, or hot chip, or chromeo etc are the songs i like most, because they seem to channel that 80s synth, new wave vibe. The songs just seemed more upbeat. Nonsensicle in a lot of cases? Yes, see nick kershaws the riddle, but awesome, happy, upbeat tunes.

GTA 3 was pretty much impossible to play on a touch screen once you got a gun in game. I wonder if they've been able to fix it in this.
