Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
@jmd749: That scene with them two and the baby though, really good scene that. (5 Hours ago)
yea, i have a feeling it won't be any kind of seamless campaign, more like different missions all related to the same story-arc (5 Hours ago)
the whole unlocked single player missions has me worried about the flow of the narrative though. maybe it's more like left 4 dead this time around? (5 Hours ago)
unless you want to take all 60 or whatever weapons out at one time there really is no reason to have them all unlocked. people simply buy the guns they want. akimbo smg's. ak47. whatever. (5 Hours ago)
a few hours and you would be playing the final mission of the campaign, even without the everting-is-unlocked -from-the-start :) (5 Hours ago)
@Melmoth: you could buy and use whatever you like in those few hour play. few hours more and you could buy whatever you fancied again. (5 Hours ago)
but anyways, it's no secret most fps devs want the singleplayer experience dead and buried. The future is (sadly) multiplayer only. (5 Hours ago)
