Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
I met Jennifer Batten today. She signed my guitar. Me so happy. Amazing guitar player. (19 minutes ago)
@Sdarts: larger scale and deeper vehicle gameplay would be a pretty big change (46 minutes ago)
one coming to mind right now. But I'm sure there's others I'm just not recalling at the moment. (50 minutes ago)
Though in all honesty, I don't believe Ubisoft will do it, and if they do, it won't be anytime soon. If I'm not mistaken, there's not many FPS open world games. Homefront: The Revolution is the only (51 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: I want a different enough style of gameplay, in hopes of a different enough game experience. Far Cry: Primal burned me out, it was exotic, but at one point I just saw a poorer FC3 and 4. (53 minutes ago)
@Sdarts: I think you'll get more fantasy Far Cry.. which seems to be what you want.. but I doubt they'll be called "5" or "6" (59 minutes ago)
I hope they get that right. I don't expect Battlefield-quality flight models but it would be nice. (1 Hour ago)
