Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
@KORNdog: 1080p to 4K scales well because it's exactly 4X. You don't get that typical scaling blur. (33 minutes ago)
Only downside and regret i have is having a curved screen.. but that changes next friday when i pick up new "flat" Samsung UHD.. (48 minutes ago)
@bleachedsmiles: i can assure you bud.. as a 4k tv owner there is NO downside in hooking up your consoles.. defeatable upscaling in game mode allowing for native on most mid to high end with hdmi 2.0 (51 minutes ago)
To me he was making points on not just Battlefront, but particular peeves I have with how the industry has went these days. Plus $120 for a fucking game?! Jesus Christ. (1 Hour ago)
@KORNdog: Yeah, I don't usually watch him, but I didn't mind that one. He'd plenty to say on it, and every point he made was bang on. He wasn't his usual OTT schtick either. (1 Hour ago)
i agree with what he's saying though. the game isn't interesting enough to pay double the amount for more content. (1 Hour ago)
Game design taking a backseat in favour of capitalising on the licence and the quick sell. The industry as we know it today. Oh, and the selling of games in chunks! Fuck off! (1 Hour ago)
