Almost three years after Alex Mercer's new birth, Prototype 2 is about to introduce us to a whole new main character going by the name of James Heller. Not much has changed in this sequel, which basically means it is still a rather entertaining game with a few flaws. The lack of novelties will probably one of them for some, as most missions are very similar to those of the first opus, repetitive gameplay - though undeniably fun - could be another one for others. The graphics have been improved over the first Prototype but they are still way behind other open-world games, inFamous 2 being the first one that comes to mind. Here are a few gameplay videos showing extracts from the first hour of gameplay.
If Gears didn't have a compelling MP component.. it would not have been very popular either. (1 minute ago)
I only played the first Gears campaign, and I did not think very highly of it. If it weren't for co-op I'm not sure I would have played it. Gears was all about MP. (1 minute ago)
@Moonwalker: What gears did you play? Granted I didn't play 3... but the first two were corridor shooters. Angry Joes review is mostly spot on, but I enjoyed the story and gameplay for the most part (3 minutes ago)
@Megido: if I forget to buy it on release day god knows how long I'll have to wait for a new digital shipment. (23 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: need to see the notes, flying jets on PC version is a lot better than the ps4 version (32 minutes ago)
